Agreed. Can’t take away from Blake the great …but Edward and that O line early was the ball game. If they didn’t start out like that …who knows how the dna of the game changes? I’m sure Michigan would have still smothered them with defense and got it done…but can’t say that for a fact . Jumping on them with those early touchdowns just set the tone . THE Michigan Wolverines have THE best fight song AND helmet logo in the country hands down 🫳🎤
@garygemmell348810 ай бұрын
I moved to Lewiston, Michigan at the age of 10 in mid-December of 1971. From Southern California. I was a fan of Southern Cal. I had no clue about anything Michigan. The following summer we moved down to Romulus. On the day of the Michigan-ohio state game my Mom took me out to get my haircut. The streets were empty and we had a hard time finding a barber who was open. We found out why from the barber we found. We got home in time for me to watch the second half. It was the first time I ever heard the fight song and saw those helmets. Been a fan ever since. Mind you, I am still a fan of the Trojans and I swear to God I don't know what I am going to do when USC and Michigan meet in the regular season in 2024

I LOVED IT!!! Congratulations to The Michigan Blue, The Wolverines!!! I am so happy, so happy this Big Ten Michigan team won, in effect also dropping a huge load of stool on ESPN and the NCAA and their arrogant and ignorant biases. THIS would happen more (northern teams winning) and more if every major bowl was held in absolute NEUTRAL regions or zones. The Big Ten, and other northern states teams, would win more bowls if the NCAA weren't so 'traditional' (bias and arrogant) having southern teams nearly always playing in state or a neighboring state. It would likely take a couple of years to get use to the proper change, but win more bowls northern state teams would do. This is still college sports, and until the players leave college, they are students and need to be taught about Fairness, Justice and Equality: bowls NEED to be played in obviously Neutral grounds. Due to the NCAA's "tradition," we have mostly southern states winning the major bowls. Most people disagree, but their comments are typically brainless. Donovan has had a tough season, but as I predicted (haha) he got hot down the stretch and made huge plays in big moments. He'll be an All-American as the #1 guy his senior year, and with a TON of big game experience to pass onto the young kids Michigan physically dominated literally everyone this season, they didnt have to throw the ball! JJ is a Heisman Finalist if he...played every 4th quarter and threw it 30/40 times a game. If he comes back (I think he will) watch out! Washington and the rest of these West Coast schools are in for a RUDE awakening next year B10 teams are no joke, even the "bad" and "average" ones; especially on the road, and particularly when its 30/40 degrees Michigan showed the country that football is still football! If you play mean FAST defense, and run the ball HARD, you can have success....a great/smart QB doesnt hurt either JJ!!!! NO ASTERISK! I hate how people don't understand how this is a big deal and that they should be seriously punished. It was not one year, it was 2 and a half years. It was a policy of cheating. Harbaugh hovered between 7 and 10 wins until they started cheating. 2021:11 wins, 2022:12, 2023:14. And if you really wanted to know what that 2021 team actually looked like, look at the time they played Nebraska. Nebraska ran a hurry up offense unlike most other Big 10 teams, so sign stealing had less of an advantage. That game was won by a field goal, when they were crushing better teams. Yeah, they probably would have won most of those games anyway, but if you can put a game away earlier, you can rest your starters and give your 2nd and 3rd string meaningful playing time. Which keeps your starters healthier and helps develop your younger players. The improved record and a promise that you will get playing time gets them better recuits and transfers. This is why that record improved year after year. This team is legit, and they won the second half of their season legitimately, but that team does not exist with the roster and health without cheating. It's equivalent to USC blatantly buying players. Their championship team's roster don't exist without it. If Michigan walks away from this with a slap on the wrist, it's because Harbaugh knows something.

I think the pecking order would be Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, Washington, tx, oregon, and FSU. Michigan and Georgia should have been playing in the title fame last not. West coast teams are too soft to play against SEC and Big10 teams. So those pac teams leaving conference are going to have to uograde theirs lines stat if they want to compete moving forward. Same with OK and TX coming to SEC

FIXED...... when I watch the game and see a plethora of Michigan OL holding not called! I was OK for the first 3.5 Q's, but when Wash is marching to tie it 20-20, they decide to call a tick tack call on Wash OL, stunting the potential tie....... Then when Michigan has their first big play when they get the ball back, the refs ignore the Fistfull of JERSEY that Mich OL did for the umpteenth time, allowing for the "blowout", so it looks legit!!! (mimicking the Cheating NE Pats when deflate gate looked unimportant because it became a blowout!!!) Guess the NCAA choses Hardballs over a team that is in an extinct conference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its kinda crazy for these guys to say "well some of the games they didn't cheat, that was all them AND they got punished. So it didn't happen" lmao like what no. On top of all that they got extremely lucky this year period. bama happened to be down bad this year but had their day against what's certainly the best team by a good margin in Georgia so they didn't have to play them and still barely beat a down bad bama by a razors edge and bad play call. I don't think Georgia would have had an issue with Michigan period, even if they were cheating. To me this is just another testimony of the SECs dominance, every thing that could go right for Michigan went right, they dodged the best team, they only beat bama by a razor thin margin in bamas worst year in memory and they cheated lmao that's their national championship legacy.
