David Ojabo’s parents seem so nice & genuine. I am a Giants fan & am doing my draft homework. I don’t get to watch all the games of the prospects so I try to watch film on highlights & scouting reports of prospects so I am informed about the NFL draft. Kind of a NFL draft nerd. Also I like watch interviews or exposes on players so I can find out more info on their personality & background. David Ojabo has had an eclectic & diverse background growing up. So he was born in Nigeria but his parents moved to Scotland & then to New Jersey so he could pursue sports. Then of course he played at Michigan. He has travelled a lot which can be tough on kids as friend are important when you’re young but he seems very precocious. He is still learning football & is raw but there is a lot of talent there. He originally wanted to play basketball but tried football on a whim. He obviously had to sit, wait & learn but it’s paying off. He is just scratching the surface. This is basically his first year of full time football. He didn’t play pee wee football or in elementary school. He basically started in high school. Despite this & with only a year of full time play under his belt he is on Todd McShay’s & Mel Kiper’s NFL Draft Big Boards. That says a lot about his ability & potential. Imagine if he had more experience prior to college & imagine things once he gains more experience & coaching. He isn’t just a freak athlete - he seems to have good intelligence & natural football instinct & high football IQ. I watched an interview on him & he seems just like his parents: open & straight forward but curious and most importantly humble & grounded. He seems like a really precocious kid who is mature beyond his years. New York City is a tough place to play as the media & fans amplify everything. Also it has a lot of distractions that can derail these newly minted young millionaires who can get into a lot of trouble there. I don’t see that being a problem with Ojabo. Michael Strahan was a Texas kid & Southern boy who the Giants obviously drafted. He hated New York at first as he was basically a country boy but now look at him. He is a Giants legend & Super Bowl champ but is now one of the most well liked & well known television personalities. The Giants have two first rounders & they need to fix their offensive line. I wouldn’t mind two Olinemen in round 1 but I think the better move is taking an Olineman & one of the top defenders at OLB or DE as we need pass rush help. Ojabo is one of my favorites. Hutchinson & Thibodeaux will be gone when the Giants pick so there is no point in worrying about them. I really like Ojabo, George Karlaftis & Nakobe Dean but Ojabo might have the highest ceiling while Karlaftis might be the safest pick. I think he’s going to be a good pro & he seems like a great kid

So your telling me this guy started playing football in 2017 that’s a year after jabrill that’s not that long ago and now he’s one of the best rushers in college football and he is a fist round pick sheeeesh
@toddmg2 жыл бұрын
American football is like that. Other than quarterback, players can start late and still reach a high professional level. Its not like basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball, which demand more time to develop an intimate, precise, relationship with a third party (ball)... its more about doing things WITHOUT a ball. Innate speed, strength, and size are paramount... also work ethic to learn and execute a playbook.
