I think it'll be more like 2021's season with a few close games and other games we don't pull away until later in the 4th.

Very true, top 20 classes even top 15 classes won't cut it in the BigTen anymore. Top 10 classes will be needed to win the BigTen and if Michigan goes all in with NIL they can easily do it!

@@freeheeler00 I know that Michigan had one of the very best and experienced head coaches in the country that they lost, and even he struggled at a lot of times. I know that Michigan recruited to a level of being number 2 in the BigTen, second only to Ohio State and until recently OSU embarrassed us for like a decade straight. I know that now Michigan has tougher competition in the BigTen and no longer is the 2nd best recruiting team in the conference but they are number 4 which isn't likely to cut it anymore as they will face much tougher competition that out recruited them 3 to 4 times a year rather than just once a year...what do I know??

I could get behind Warren or Tuttle as the starter since orji has experience coming in and utilizing his athleticism in limited snaps. That being said I’d like to see them mix some more passing playing in those snaps to exploit defenses

I tend to think Orji will have the edge because of what he can do with goosing the run game. Having a true dual threat QB unbalances run defenses and slows ends on early downs. This means that teams will have to add another guy to the box to stop Orji and the ends just can't crash down on B gaps. There aren't a ton of tackles on the college level capable of taking on double teams in the run game, so most defenses will have to choose between committing numbers to maintain gap control or keeping safeties deep. That's how Alabama got to the playoff last year- much of it based upon Jalen Milroe's ability to run the zone read and designed QB runs at a high level. Orji, in a way, could become the best passer of the bunch simply because other teams will have to bring one or both safeties up to stop the run and teams might be reluctant to blitz or stunt to create pressure on him because of his ability to run. To me, I think the bigger question mark is at receiver. Can these guys get open against man-to-man press coverage and/or win 50/50 balls?

They basically "stole" the equivalent of a wedding planner for recruiting visits, but they act like they nabbed Dantoni's right hand. It's so funny how these Michigan KZbinrs keep spreading false narritives. Why is Alex Orji such a great athelete again? Because he can squat 500lb? Why can't Davis Warren run again? At the end of the day Orji is the most atheletic QB on the roster, but He is not Jalen Milroe. Orji is not as fast or as shifty as Milroe. And most importantly, he's still learning to pass. Davis Warren is this teams best option because he is the best passer, and is also mobile. Davis Warren is not slow nor a statue in the pocket. If Warren starts you can develop Orji as a passer throughout the season coming in to run a few plays during the games. If Orji starts and he struggles then you would have to bench him for Warren which would kill the kids confidence.

Alex Orji is such a great athlete because he could play multiple positions if he wanted to. At the end of the day though, he's going to have to convert on 3rd downs and make accurate throws.
