Hey, Chris! Thanks for your video. My entire family is living in Michigan in the suburbs of Detroit, in Wyandotte, in Riverview, in Taylor, in Belleville, in Bloomfield village... Unfortunately most of my family is heavily into Trump, but not me. I'm an absentee voter in Michigan from Leipzig, Germany. My parents moved to Germany shortly before I was born, and I have both the German and the American citizenship. I started participate in the American election in 2008 when Obama was first elected and have ever since taken advantage of my right to vote as an US citizen, not only in the General Presidential Elections, but also in the Midterms and Primaries. I am also a gay man, and having experienced a life being part of a social minority I grew a firm social conscience, standing with all kinds of minorities, showing empathy with different ways of living with all the problems and obstacles people are facing in their lifes. I have great love for my family in Michigan, they're all very nice people. The harder it is for me to understand what they find in such a person like Trump who doesn't show any empathy, who is only interested in himself. I have already sent in my absentee ballot. I hope urgently that Michigan will not fall back into the Trump column. I was so proud of my family state when every part of the state government turned blue in the last years, and I do think that Gretchen Whitmer is doing a great job to improve the state of Michigan in regards to infrastructure, economy, education, health care etc. Whenever I visit Detroit I take great joy in seeing how the city is coming back, how it's revitalizing, growing, sewing hope and optimism. I love that city dearly. I wish you all the best, keep on making inspiring videos, Chris!
