Important project announcement! (Jerome's message to his fans ...) Dear Friends, It’s time to talk about my mother Monika's photo archive. As I mentioned before, I am now planning a long-term project with it. But first of all, I need to digitize the archive, which unfortunately involves significant costs and a lot of effort. Since my next solo album is progressing well, I now want to undertake the preservation and utilization of this photo and memorabilia archive as my next project before we all become too old to still be able to engage with it. As you know, this archive has immense musical historical significance, covering a period from the 1960s to the year 2000. It contains thousands of images and numerous film recordings documenting the history of Tangerine Dream, its members, and many other contents stored on various analog media. Due to the age of these media, it is particularly important to act soon before they degrade further. Moreover, the digitization can sometimes only be done by specialized companies with the necessary experience in handling such old and delicate materials. To cover the significant costs, I am committed to launching a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe soon. Depending on the success and support, this could also enable further projects. I’m thinking in the medium term about photo books, merchandise, exhibitions, or other events. Primarily, however, the campaign will aim to finance the digitization of the archive. Now, it’s your turn! What do you think of this? Please let me know in the comments, and suggestions are of course welcome. Ultimately, the results should provide added value for all of us, and in my opinion, we achieve this best with a common goal. Sharing and spreading this message is expressly encouraged and can help making this project a success! Anyone interested in contributing creative ideas for the evaluation of the archive, planning projects, or taking on logistical tasks is welcome to contact me via PM. Due to time constraints, I can only respond to serious and realistic proposals. I hope you understand. Thank you very much for your support and commitment! Best regards, Jerome Froese.
