Love LeRoy All of our rescues have had health problems, it was why they were unwanted. At one time we had 13 Furry Kids enjoying their forever home, lots of work and worth it. Back in 2017 four of our Furry Kids passed within a 3 month time, its a difficult time for sure. Love your new family member, the work Steve and You do is beautiful.

I've been watching for a while, and I think it's time I said something. Your videos are simply superb; each is beautifully done. I often watch in the wee hours, and will fall asleep during an episode. Not because they're boring (they are not), as much as they are soothing; the music, your voice, the beautiful forest - it's just a wonderful vibe. I'm an Army vet who spent a lot of years in one desert or another. A few years ago I moved to Ireland, and got a house by the sea. Now I write novels, which people seem to enjoy, and I've even managed to talk a fiery Irish lass into marrying me. I don't make videos; my art is in the words on the page; each book is made of part of me. What you are doing resonates, and I'm sure it's not only with me. It's more than you building things in the forest; what you do matters. So, thank you for sharing, and for the time, effort, and love you put into each film. We see it, and we appreciate it. Slaínte. ☘️😎

Leroy is going to be a hit! I love the way you and Steve have such a love for the dogs. They just become like our children. We have an American pit bull and two tuxedo cats, one we just adopted as a kitten who showed up on our doorstep hungry (much like our first one who showed up about 8 years ago in a similar manner) about a month ago. Zelda (our dog) has just fallen in love with her and it's funny to watch them play together with the dog being so much bigger, but they play very well together, and then when they tire they wind up falling asleep next to each other. What's not to love! And that cabin, what a neat structure!! I love how you took the slabs and made them highly useable as the outside boards. Gotta' love it! Stay warm!!! ❤❤

@mnumzanemadoda49005 күн бұрын
I admire your tenacity in keeping finding solutions to each "issue" . Weather can play havoc with any plans you make and frequently changes the sequence of tasks which inevitably means trips to the store to get supplies . I would have put a metal flange under the tin which would create a sealed wall around the pipe to keep out the roof run off and the put the boot on to keep the pipe run off out. Another tip : if you want to box around the stove pipe hole rotate the box vertically so that the top corner is pointing up the roof , this will also help to divert water away from the hole in the roof.

I enjoyed watching your video. In addition to a larger boot that was suggested by another viewer, I would recommend using Flex Tape. It is a very strong, rubberized tape that sticks to metal, plastic, etc... It can be applied to wet surfaces and in temperatures around zero C. It is very tenacious and virtually impossible to pull off once it has been applied. It can be purchased at KMS and comes in 4" wide by 5 foot long rolls. It retails for $17 included. Take care and be safe on the roof.

The walk out to the cabin is lyrical and beautiful. As for the vent, I'd try to place a large waterproof tarp from the top of the roof and cover the exhaust pipe. This will help keep the elements off the job. Then buy a larger boot, place it over the smaller one, then reseal it. Given the conditions, you only had one small leak -- easily fixable. You definitely have grit and determination.
