This was a great cover, would of stopped me in my tracks as well. Gordan Lightfoot songs are LEGENDARY. Personal favorite Sundown. Most people walking by probably didnt know how special of a song that was. Gordan Lightfoot songs are good for the soul. Peace..........

We lost Gordon Lightfoot a few months ago. Am a 64 year old man. So I remember when this incredible song came out. This man does a great job with this song. These people walking past him and the ones that are very rude ignorant. See him singing this song. And they walk as close as they can. They kept talking loud as if they wanted to get him to mess up. But he is much better than they thought. We have so many great songs from the 60s and 70s. That should last forever. Thank you sir for this fantastic performance.

Sad visual commentary for today's society - This is an extremely difficult song to do well and this gentleman did it superbly - Few people take time from their busy day, to stop and listen to beautiful music - As a musician and a busker, I find it satisfying and frustrating when performing - It's a passion that can't be pushed aside yet, it puts you in a vulnerable position every time you do it. You take the chance of being . . . ignored.
@tommcdonough60867 ай бұрын
Most of the people walking by were pretty lame, had no idea what a treat this song is. This is a timeless classic. Gordan Lightfoot songs are good for the soul, personal favorites , Sundown and Carefree Highway. Dude with the coffee understood , stopped and took in this great cover. R.I.P. Gordan Lightfoot..........

Very nicely done ballad that offers so much in the lyric content and melody line. Without a doubt one of the top songs of the late 1960's early 1970's era. Too bad today's music cannot hold a candle to this song and so many others like it. Gordon Lightfoot was my main inspiration to buy my first guitar and learn his music, and study the art of song writing. In 1984 I penned the following lyrics to my song called "Where Have All the Songmen Gone" in the first verse. "What's become of Jim, and his old friend LeRoy Brown? Has anyone seem Harry's cab? It's so sad he's not around. Then young Steve he went away. He left Arlo on the train. So Gordon won't you write a song like Early Morning Rain?"
