Mick Lynch mocks right wing reporters at press conference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2inpZRpq5WGeLc

Why portray Mick Lynch as someone he is not. He is not a football hooligan, or a tiktoker. By the way, he forgot to mention the Guardian, as well as a lot of online media, that don't properly discuss alternatives to this creaking old system, or any media that wants to continue fuelling this absurd idea of division between Brexiters and non, who actually probably, have more in common with eacother than not. So, instead of dividing, try finding the common ground, JOE. All journalists deserve mocking these days it seems.
@digitalradiohacker
@digitalradiohacker Жыл бұрын
@@junctionfilms6348 This "them and us" thing has certainly had us busy eh? Almost like it is perpetuated. Russel Brand used to talk about how the current system doesn't really work, and that we need an alternative. He never proposed an example solution, but at least he brought it up. The other day at work, we were faced with a problem. We all got together and voiced our ideas about how to solve it. Not everyone agreed. We set up a few experiments to prove one method over the next, and the solution was decided upon within a day. What we didn't do, is divide into two teams, who's job it was to slag each other off in the hope that decision makers "go along" with one side or the other. No surgical team works this way, nor does any engineering team. The only place it happens is in politics. Them and us, them and us, them and us. It never ends.

@@digitalradiohacker It is perpetuating this bickering style of things for sure. JOE saying "mocking" etc. Would hope for something a bit deeper and also people talking about things like massive educational reforms that are urgently needed and total restructuring of police, civil service and government, downsizing of government and regional government. Giving money for things like broken water treatment services, pouring sewage into the south coasts and Windemere. Windemere is half dead now. Be nice if JOE covered all of the above. Russell Brand though, is someone who says stuff to sound clever but really is just interested in cashing in on what is now a massive industry of 'conspiracy' and 'alternative' media scene it seems, which he does from his mansion in Henley. Lets turn parliament and Buck Palais, into educational centres and resource centres.

@Privileged Whyte Knight What are you going on about? They vote to strike (choose) and why wouldn't he get paid, he is not on strike but working tirelessly to secure a good deal for them. You do know that to intimidate others to strike is illegal and does not happen. If you can cite evidence otherwise I will be happy to look it up. Furthermore, if public transport is so important that when there are disruptions people suffer, then those running it should be well compensated to ensure competent staff can be recruited and retained and the system should be funded appropriately, in other words, take profit out of the equation and bring it back into public ownership. Just like the French State who make a profit from running part of our system but have the sense to keep their own system in Public ownership. The whole system in Britain is dumb and not fit for purpose (unless the purpose is to milk it for every penny for big bosses and shareholders). Have you even bothered to look at how much the CEO's of train operators pay themselves. Besides, you don't suffer because you don't need public transport right?

The great thing is, you need to go figure why there are no customers in your bars and restaurants. There is nothing to stop the Hospitality and Catering sector to strike . (not sure it is hospitable to intentionally close though). Go for it. If you are confident your skill levels are worth what you think they are. And I mean that. I rate my skill levels pretty much at the top of my profession. I get head hunted for certain jobs, and check out certain jobs on the grapevine. If they pay what I think is a fair deal, I take the contract, if not, I walk. No one is hurt that way, the job is still available to someone else the client may think is capable as a second choice. That is the difference between knowing your worth and being a prime player, or being a union scumbag that could less than likely get their own job back if asked to reapply. ;o)

Really? Food banks are giving out fuel now? Lol. Be careful what you write and be very clear in what you say, because people will take you at your word and miss the context. Especially, you envying people who are more disabled than you. If you work in social care, you should know that those people have had to prove how disabled they are to get what they get, and they're not living the life of Riley. In the current crisis there are disabled people who are rely on electricity to run medical equipment to stay alive and they're scared to face the bills. So, somehow as a disabled person I don't think you want to give the impression that you envy them. Because if you did, that would be toxic. Punch up, not sideways or down. Those like you or materially worse off than you are not the problem. They don't run the system, which is broken, and stopped making sense a long time ago. Your ire should be directed towards those who made this mess, not those struggling in like yourself.

It’s not right mate and people in this country are very slowly waking up to the fact that this conservative government have been fleecing the people for over a decade. @@lbfourtwenty4163 Yeah, I'll just pop out in my lunch break and get a better paid job. Why didn't I think of that? I mean they're queueing up to offer well paid jobs to 56 year old disabled people! 😂 Actually I consider myself pretty fortunate to be getting £21500p.a when so many people in Cornwall are on minimum wage or working 2 or 3 part-time jobs. Were I on the same benefits as one of my clients I'd be getting UC £658 per month, PIP £505 per month and his Housing Benefit and zero Council Tax. That's £1163 per month as disposable income with zero bills except a weekly £16.50 service charge leaving £1 097 per month in his pocket. What incentive is there for him to ever go back to work when he can stay on his bed, watching TV and wait for his Cost of Living payments to roll in? So maybe you can show me a minimum wage job where you'll be left with nearly £1100 per month after you've paid your rent etc? Hope your hand heals soon by the way.

Inflicted upon us by tabloids, sub-30 minute TV news bulletins, and social media. When you give a bit more time to a topic (newspaper/online longer reads, and longer video/radio interviews like this) so much more can be learned, understood, and explained. Being informed and educated is critical to a good society. Providing its not conspiracy theories, or false agendas! There was no extra pay, some time off was offered, but how many times was that refused after the fact. @MrBlackfalconuk 2008 - 2019 the UK GDP grew but wages didn't, in fact, the government made cuts. Then during COVID, the government hands out 460bn, which went to owners of companies. If a nation's GDP grows but your quality of life doesn't then someone is taking that from you. If 460bn gets handed out and you don't get 16k then someone has taken that money from you. I'm lucky to be in rail and be a part of a political working class but the people in the UK are lazy with politics, we're letting the government take advantage, be selfish and destroy us. Honestly mate you're right, people need to make some noise, get organised with others, demand reasonable wages, demand health care, demand safe fast travel, demand a pension and a house. You served in order to grow that GDP, so go make sure the government is looking after the nation and not themselves because otherwise you go to work so they can live like millionaires in their high societies off the back of others. Pitch the poor against each other that's what they are doing they are saying get angry at railway workers getting a pay rise rather than your employer for not giving you a pay rise.

I think the anger is at the railway workers not turning up to work. Not anger at union jobs systematically getting lower pay rises than non union ones for the past 25 years.

@Neutron the railways were Privatised and have never been so inefficient and expensive. It’s not the workers that are the problem, it’s the vultures constant need for more!

@Neutron exactly But who is to blame & Why, if it's so bad are you not angry at the share holders who are not reinvesting? Is it because you don't understand or are you working for The Man?!?

@@Scottie444 It doesn't seem to have posted my reply with a link to the actual data from statista. But since 2000 (till 2020 last data point) non union average hourly wage has increased by 10% more than union average hourly wage has.(not sure if it uses mean or median though, which does matter. But doesn't matter 10% and is apples to apples whichever of those 2 it is.)

No bad language or slagging people off, just an extremely articulate man who knows exactly the facts of what he is saying. Shame MPs don’t take a leaf out of his book. Oh and by the way, HE TELLS THE TRUTH
