You don’t ‘run for Prime Minister’ as the PM is the leader of one of the two major political parties and they each have a process for electing their leaders. Whilst Mick Lynch is a good union leader in many ways he was also pro-Brexit. People seem to be unaware that the consequences of Brexit haven’t been fully implemented yet. The Tories are planning a bonfire of EU legislation and a great deal of that includes things like employee rights which we enjoy as members of the EU and aren’t covered by existing UK legislation. Plus, we’re all substantially worse off due to the Brexit he supported. He has huge gaps in his knowledge so would be a terrible PM. So, let’s just get him to stay in his lane as he does a good job.
