This video was so helpful! We are going to the Halloween party for the first time in early September, and I'm so excited! I'm obsessed with Hocus Pocus so I'm really looking forward to that show. I plan on dressing up as a pirate. Picking a pirate costume is so hard, though, because I love them all!

Also I love that costume idea- pirate is a great choice! They just announced today they're going to have roaming pirates in Adventureland performing sea shanties so I feel like you'll be able to get some amazing photos with fellow pirates!

This will be my 2nd time going to the mickey not so scary, I've been there once before pre-pandemic, where I went dressed as Ariel in her pink dress. This time i'm going as Amity from the series The Owl house. I already have the costume and wig and pointy ears.

Wow those are both amazing costume choices! I think pink dress Ariel is my favorite Ariel outfit, although I do love the blue dress from the new live action as well. I've had The Owl House on my watchlist for a while, I've heard so many good things I have to check it out soon! I just did google Amity though and that really feels like a great choice for the Halloween party- I hope you have a great time!

@@ExtraMagicMinutes Yes, I actually like both the Blue and prink dresses that Ariel wears in her movie. The live action one looks cute too. The Owl house is a great watch and it's completed now so you won't have to worry about cliff hangers. I'm wearing the outfit Amity wore for "Grom" (the Witch version of Prom).

I'm going in September -29, this will be my second time, I'm hoping I can see all the shows and parades, eat exclusive treats, and you were not lieing about the exclusive merch they sell only for Halloween party, last year my hunnybun was whiplashed off my head 😂, it was so crazy . Although I'm going for a second chance this year bcuz I want the new jersey from the party, so I'm excited.

Thank you so much! Genie+ isn't offered during the event- if you have a park pass reservation for Magic Kingdom before the party theoretically you could buy it and use it until 6pm but you wouldn't be able to purchase it without the park reservation- and then after 6pm it won't be available. In our experience the wait times are much lower though during the party, especially towards the end of the night!

Do you know if characters sign autographs during the party? In particular the rare ones such as Jafar and Jack/Sally? This video was super helpful thank you !

Thank you for watching and I'm glad it was helpful! Based on years prior (and my time long ago working at the parties in entertainment) I believe most characters will sign autographs. Any of the less rare characters in their Halloween costumes (Hundred Acre Wood, Mickey & pals, etc.) likely will sign. I have got an autograph in the past from Jafar so I think he would, I think it just would depend if he's doing photos from a distance / wandering or has a traditional line and meeting location. However, I know that Jack and Sally do not sign- instead they have pre-signed cards they give out at the meet and greet. Additionally, they just announced the Seven Dwarfs will be at the party this year and in past years I know they haven't signed and are only available for photo opportunities. If characters are at dance parties they also don't sign but will sometimes pose for a photo. I'd be happy to come back and update here once the party starts with more info if I can find it!

Loved this! We are going for our first Disney World trip in September and doing the party too. I love your videos and I'm wondering, with wearing so many dresses and skirts, do you have a favorite under short? Like Knix or Thigh Society? I'm planning to wear dresses for most of the trip and am worried about chub rub.

Thank you so much and thanks for watching! I always wear bike shorts underneath all my dresses and skirts, as well as using Megababe Thigh Rescue! I've started thinking about my bike shorts underneath as part of the outfit since they're sometimes visible depending on the skirt length. I usually go for 8-10" inseam length, whatever the longer option is without coming down to the knee- I feel like anything shorter doesn't really effectively cover the whole potential chub rub area. I also like the coverage for getting in and out of rides and not having to worry about a gust of wind, etc. My three favorite pairs right now are the Old Navy High-Waisted PowerSoft with Side Pockets (oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=579238022&vid=1&&searchText=bike%20shorts#pdp-page-content), and these two from Amazon (amzn.to/3DpaPVj and amzn.to/3rzzHHz). I'm an XXL in both Amazon offerings and unfortunately their sizing isn't as inclusive, but I really wore the Old Navy ones the most this trip. I always look for pockets since many skirts and dresses don't have them, and for the Old Navy and Amazon Baleaf pairs, they never roll down or up, which is definitely a must! I felt like the Old Navy also were the most breathable and seem pretty durable, without showing any wear in the thighs. I've also tried Aerie shorts but I find they sometimes roll or will bunch up in the legs while I'm walking which sort of defeats the purpose, and they've gotten holes on the inner seams more quickly than other options. I'll have to check out Knix and Thigh Society! I'm also looking at a few pairs from Target since they're easy to access and usually have a somewhat decent size range. I hope this is helpful! If you find a pair you end up loving I'd love to know too so I can check them out!

How early do you recommend getting a spot for the shows and parade? Want to get a good viewing spot but also don't want to spend my whole night waiting around holding a spot!

I’m with you there in not wanting to wait around the whole night! I’d say it depends on three things- how large your party is, if you have a specific spot you really want, and what viewing you’re attending. I’ve found with two we can walk up 15-20 minutes before the fireworks and find a great spot near the castle. I like to watch the second parade of Boo to You from the right side of the hub near the popcorn stand and Tomorrowland entrance. I think if you want to be in the front you’d probably have to get there about 30-45 minutes before, otherwise I think you can watch the fireworks and Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and then move into a parade spot when everyone shifts after the show. Happy to answer any other questions if you think of any!

Hi! Mickey's Boo-to-You Parade is at 9:15PM and 11:15PM, Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular (the fireworks) are at 10:15PM, and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular is at 8:35PM, 10:45PM, and midnight in September and 7:40PM, 8:35PM, 10:45PM, and midnight in October and November.
