It's no secret that Shanghai Disneyland isn't just your average MK/DL-style park. It features extremely innovative, first of their type, and game changing attractions. This park is certainly a must visit for any Disney (or theme park in general) fanatic. With that idea in mind, I feel it needs something that's really spectacular for a nighttime parade. Now, in order to really give closure to an amazing day of excitement and adventure, this nighttime parade really has to encapsulate what this park is supposed to represent. And following this goal, I've created a concept that can really fit. Presenting....the Shanghai Disneyland Electrical Parade!

With Shanghai Disneyland being a combination of classic Disneyland and a new, innovative future, I decided to bring this park a 21st Century version of this fantastic, iconic, and nostalgic parade. As the successor to the original Main Street version, the Tokyo version (DreamLights), and even Paint the Night, it'll have amazing effects set to a classic soundtrack, extravagant floats of your favorite childhood attractions. This new Electrical Parade is the perfect way to complete Shanghai Disneyland. The parade will follow the same route as the current daytime parade, Mickey's Storybook Express, which starts in Toy Story Land and goes through the Gardens of Imagination (the center "hub" area).

And now, without any further adieu, I invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! All along the route from Toy Story Land to the Gardens of Imagination, the artfully decorated light posts suddenly go from dim to completely dark. The anticipation built up over the past hour or so of guests waiting at the seats they saved with an amazing view have built up to this moment. The original 1972 music begins to swell up, as an announcer introduces the parade... "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Shanghai Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination, in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sounds: The Shanghai Disneyland Electrical Parade!" Opening Window: *Mulan's Welcoming Cavalcade: A rolling sign pushed by two cast members passes by, which features the name of the parade lit up by LED lights. To accommodate the various languages, both the Chinese and English name of the parade will be present. Following the rolling sign will be six performers marching on opposite sides of the route, there will be three on each side. As they march, they'll be holding up Chinese lanterns with the Chinese symbol for Welcome or Hello. In between both rows of the marching performers, there will be a Chinese dragon, being performed by five people. The dragon is able to change its color scheme (i.e. red and gold, gold and green, etc.). They'll be followed by a welcoming pagoda that has color changing shingles and LED lanterns. On the bottom of the float will be the powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible Mushu! Riding on the top of the pagoda is Mulan. *DreamLights Express: Following the pagoda is an all-new version of the multi-color Casey Jr. train, paying homage to the one used in the original parade. Mickey Mouse and his friends will ride in on an electrical train, still being operated by engineer Goofy in his classic outfit. However, this new version will have a new design, with a cross between the original and a much more futuristic draft of the train. It'll have OLED lightning layered around the outside, with characters and designs, and other vivid animations, including films and characters not represented in the main parade.

Before I go any further, after the opening window, the parade will be divided into three different sections, being Classic Animation, P.I.X.A.R, and park-based. Classic Animation (Part 1): *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: After the train passes by, you are now treated to the section on the classic animated movies. As the first ever Disney animated film, it only makes sense for Snow White to be the first float theme. This float has a woodland cottage on it, much like the one in the film and later recreated for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The entire cottage will be lit up with many, colorful little LED lights, representing sparkling diamonds. The most interesting part of this scene however is when you look through the windows when it comes by, and you can see NextGen electronic holographs of Snow White and the dwarfs dancing inside. *Peter Pan: This unit will be introduced by a glittering procession of "Fiber Fairies" wearing Tinker Bell-esque costumes, with fiber optic-infused wings. However, the real Tinker Bell is flying over the float set, a wonderfully lit up recreation of London at night, with Big Ben towering towards the back. Tinker Bell will be created through the use of a small drone with fiber optic lights on it to make the image of the character. Meanwhile, Peter Pan, Wendy and the Lost Boys will be interacting with spectators directly, dancing a bit and running around to high-five.

Classic Animation (Part 2): *The Lion King: As the previous unit goes away, a troop of eight African folk dancers take to the street. Their costumes will have various shades of dark reds, oranges and greens. Following the dancers is a completely electric version of Pride Rock (again, in a similar style to the original parade floats/the Snow White float with many LED lights lining it). Now, what makes this scene incredibly impressive and fascinating to watch is the sheer scope of the float - it's a whopping 21 ft, which is almost 2 yards taller than the tallest MSEP float, Pete's Dragon, at 16 ft. In addition, another neat feature of the scene is the usage of NextGen animatronics of Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, and other animals, as well as a Zazu drone. *Aladdin: Straight from Agrabah, Genie - dressed in his parade marshal outfit - leads the next unit. As he traverses the route, he twirls and throws a glowing baton. Quickly following the Genie are a troop of harem dancers performing along the parade route. Then, you'd see a magnificent float featuring the Sultan's palace. Aladdin and Jasmine will stand on a LED covered balcony, reminiscent of the final scene from the movie. The coolest feature of this unit will be the usage of drones. However, it'll be different from the ones used in the Lion King and Peter Pan units. This time, four different drones will each be attached to a corner of the magic carpet (with fiber optic cloth), and it will fly around over the float and guests in a very cool fluid motion.

Classic Animation (Part 3 - Conclusion): *Pinocchio: This float will be themed much like the original Pinocchio float in the first edition of the Main Street Electrical Parade, with the Pinocchio character standing in front of a whale. However, it'll be updated significantly to match the higher quality of electrical effects, with new/more lights with different colors and sizes. Also, the whale will have a more cartoon-y look to it. But the main aspect of this unit will be the focus on dancing. Over 20 live dancers with lit-up puppet performer-styled costumes will dance around in the famous puppet dance. *The Little Mermaid: The final unit themed to classic Disney Animation will be the Little Mermaid. In this scene, a cornucopia of coral and glittering shells appears, with Ariel sitting in a clam shell. A group of LED drone fish will swim around in the air to create the illusion that the guests are suddenly "Under the Sea". To add to this effect, all plant life will actually be animatronics, swaying in the "movement of the sea". The Worlds of P.I.X.A.R. (Part 1): *Toy Story: Once the classic animation segment ends, it'll move on to floats themed around the P.I.X.A.R. franchises. As the music changes into a Baroque Hoedown rendition of "You've Got a Friend in Me", the Green Army Men come marching down the street, letting us know that the Toy Story gang is coming. However, there won't be a general float to this unit. Instead, your favorite and most memorable characters, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Lotso, and many more, will be dancing around and celebrating in lit-up clothing. There'll be some LED float-like vehicles zooming around though, themed after the less "walkable" toys, such as RC Racer and Slinky Dog. These units will be similar to the "whirl-ly" units that are famous from the original show.

The reason for a Train Styled Parade is to incorporate Walt Disney's Passion for Trains. Since there is no train circling the park like at all the other resorts, a train of some sort had to be involved, and this was the answer.

I have to be honest, some of the floats are either plain or somewhat cheap looking. The color coordinate, the details, the costumes are just… off. Not very Disney-ish. Tokyo still has the most elaborate and eye pleasing float designs while Orlando has best music and vibes.

bonito pero no me gusto que los personajes sean orientales o son o no son estos de Disney van de mal en peor por favor señores conserven la magia no la distorsionen mas es como el cuento de cenicienta mucho tiempo se sabe que el príncipe la despertó con un beso y que pasa magnifica idea sacan la película y maleica fue la que despertó a la princesa jajajajaj y mas jajajajaja que paso se les acabo la creatividad al grupo Disney o que paso ahí cientos de años engañados y ahora esto basta ya por favor aburrr
