Take the BTS to Bang Na Station, then connect a motorcycle to Bang Na Nok Pier which is more convenient. This way has a lot of bike shops for rent.

10 years ago it was much quieter. 15 years ago I was the only Westerner on a bike over there. I finally got bored with the island nearly every weekend for 15 years and moved to Chiangmai. You need to get to the market early in the day, when it is still cool.

I usually visited this place by crossing at Bangna pier , they have ferries crossing the river and you can bring your Motorcycle. I live nearby so I just walk. It's good excercise and delicious food and cafe. Glad you made it to come to my neighbourhood.

I born there... well not really, my hometown is on the main-land (which is actually the first island.... there is Lat Luang canal that cut Tambol Songkhanong and Tambol Talad from the mainland). I've very familiar with the area though. I born just in time for "The Event" that people seem to forget (long story short, someone wants to make the whole island a park... disregard of people who lived here). People who lived here had it rough. Not many jobs there except 2-3 factories and agriculture. I'm so glad that this area becomes popular nowadays. But the future will still not easy. Bangkrachao has to endure pollution originated from the other side of the river. Also due to geography, garbages tends to end up here ( and the fact that the garbage produced within the island is increasing doesn't help). The biggest challenge is how to protect the land from overly-gentrification? Only time will tell.

Bang Krachao has a lot of tourist attractions and must study.And ask people to surf at or Thai tourists first Would be very nice There is a tour with local guides.And there is a homestay accommodation, villagers will take a tour around the village and tourists will study the culture.If it is a floating market here, it opens early on Saturday and Sunday mornings, there will be a lot of people.

The words Bang Krachao is in Bangkok is actually true. Yes Bang Krachao is a district of Samut Prakan but the whole area is still inside Bangkok. The Island just extends from the main Samut Prakan and goes across inside the circle of Bangkok's city ground.

it takes 20 mins away from my place. i live opposite to Seacon Square Mall. its nice and shady. there is a floating market. i like to cycle there. its fun. you also can bring your own bike or motorbike and cross with it via a huge shuttleboat at Bang Na Pier. i have no idea if other piers allows cuz i always cross with my motorbike from there. i pay only 10 baht for a fare

ข้อเสียของบางกระเจ้าคือ อยากชูเป็นปอดกรุงเทพแต่ก็ยังให้รถยนต์วิ่งเข้าไปได้ทั่ว ฝรั่งงงสินึกว่าในนี้เดินทางกันโดยจักรยานเต็มที่ก็มอเตอร์ไซค์ที่ไหนได้พอถึงตลาดน้ำรถยนต์เต็มไปหมด
