An nfc sticker could be used to attach to your magazines & let the arduino know how many darts are in the magazine assuming it's at full capacity.

Oops! Trying to get Tim's time is hard. I might have to do a solo episode, although it'd sort of ruin it!

My word! My what small integers you have. The ones out my way take 4 bytes of the cherry to consume.

+Aaron DC mediA All the more to... no.. wait that doesn't work. Yup they are nice and small. Good to work with small ones for a while.

how about a LCD Bar graph to show 'gun ready' condition. as per sci-fi type weapon. This could be the motor speed/current draw monitor.

+Bill Field Ha ha! Yes! And maybe it really needs some audio samples playing back saying "powered up".

Talking of "Scope Creep", why not have a power fed backpack magazine of 500 darts? You can give it as many smarts as you want but it's no good without ammo.
@MickMake8 жыл бұрын
+James Lamb Ha ha. Yup 500 is what we'll need considering that we're aiming for 10 darts per second!

Hi. Great series! I just found it. Does it stop here? Any plans to move it forward, even as Patreon-only? Thanks for the excellent content!

+nztuber Thanks mate. Unfortunately my mate Tim hasn’t been available for a while. I’d really like to continue it!

+SteelBlueVision That's a Nano PC-T3. I've put a link to that video in this video.

I apologize , I have been watching your vids for way over a month, and have not subbed. As for this video, It was fresh to hear an 'almost' camera innocent conversation about pre-design. Very rare! -Cheers
@MickMake8 жыл бұрын
Ha ha. Yup it wasn't quite camera innocent. We shot 2 hours of footage and I condensed down to two 12 minute videos. There's a lot of stuff I'd like to keep in, but the videos would be way too long. If there is an interest in longer videos then I can publish two versions; long and short. It's not much extra overhead as my workflow has pre-edit and post-edit stages.

Well it had a good feel, The overlay was not even too bad, Any more would have been to much. It gave a good enough 'voyeur' point of view, Even knowing you guys very well know its all for the camera. I like to think somewhat like that. The software features on some kind of display was flooding through my mind. Based off some tactically placed sensors and the rest is software. Blows my mind sometimes on what can actually be done. But it all comes down to software at the end of the day. Id go as far to say the placement of sensors are (hard to say) 20% important. Interpreting those sensor signals is the other 80%. Features can always be added in future via software. Im sure you know all this shit. good 'thought fuel' though.

+ProCactus These days yes. With the advent of the "breakout board" concept and the Maker Movement everything has become a lot more accessible. Software is where it's at... once you have sorted out where to place the little buggers and the mechanics then software does the rest.
