I love the idea of taking a photo before disconnecting anything and found the whole video very helpful. Thank you.

Very useful, but it looks like you have removed (cut in half) part of the plastic trim at the bottom of the window, and getting this out of the way is the most difficult part of the job. I managed it, but I think I should have put the wipers at 12.00 before powering down the car to help the job. Also there may be a pool of water under the battery, so the drain hole should be cleared when you have it out, and any leaves debris, cleaned out.

You advise removing negative - positive when removing and positive - negative when replacing. Other garages say negative 1st both times, does it really matter?

NICK DOWLAND Yes it very much matters... Always start and finish with ground wire if you rehook ground wire first then finish with positive you have a complete circuit which can surge and blow your cpu and just fry electrical........

I have an audi 2007 Q7 4.2 when I change the car battery to it need to program it to the car the guy at the dealership said it needs to be leank again to the car in order to work properly. .don't no if it true or not. .need help..
that's a VW, i see you have to remove the trim, it's the worse part of these cars without breaking it.

Lol I have a cigarette hanging out my mouth, a beer can on the side and tools all over the engine bay, never got a shock or blew a car up, and I'm still alive..SMH takes an asda battery out, puts a tesco battery in. 😬

It's so important to ALWAYS make sure you have beers in your hand while working on ANY engine...absolute must.

This video instantly lost all credit when I noticed you were still wearing a watch. Watch you will get burned one day. Never wear watches or wedding rings when working on an engine.
