I’ll never forget Johnny Hendricks saying, I got knocked out cold before. It was best sleep I’ve ever had. If going to sleep is the worst thing that can happen, I’m not worried about it.

I agree that you can’t workout to get a great chin. You can definitely improve your chin with overall conditioning , jaw/neck exercises, and mileage(getting hit in sparring and fights). It’s like punching hard or jumping high, you can improve them but you have to be born with it.

Crazy that Rampage is asking this question when Rockhold is on the pod all the time...dude had the physique of a fitness model and one of the most fragile glass jaws in recent history.

Guy doesn't know what he's talking about. If you strengthen your neck and your jaw muscles, you can absolutely take a better hit without going unconscious. The act of being knocked out is when the brain shifts from the strike and twists the brain stem. The brain hits the OFF button to protect itself because this violent twist can cause brain stem fibers to break. So if your neck is strong, then it can withstand the head and neck getting twisted.

@@johnsambo9379 While I see your point, he is very wrong. Today all our food is relatively easy to chew. This makes the jaw muscles weak. People of the past had stronger jaws because of all the chewing of tough foods. It will literally widen and thicken the jaw. But this is not common knowledge so most don't give it much thought.
