Fabric stiffener is a different product from fabric glue, it does not forms strong adhesive bond effect that fabric glue does. However I read that fabric glue/PVA glue that dries transparent can also be used as stiffeners but it has to be diluted with water first. May have to go through trial and error depending on the stiffening result you get.
