Micro-Hydro power plant of Kavanayén - La Gran Sabana (Venezuela)

Micro-Hydro power plant of Kavanayén was built in 1955 by the venezuelan national government, in response to a request from the Capuchin mission of Santa Teresita de Kavanayén, in the Gran Sabana Municipality of Bolívar state.
Currently, it is operational and is an example of sustainable development of indigenous communities in environmentally fragile territories, using renewable energies.
