I had the large camper as well as some other Micro Machines. The large camper's police station was interesting, as it had remnants of a design for an electronic noise maker, but no electronics inside. When taking apart the hollow police station, I noticed the vent part had a ring inside the exact size for common small plastic-diaphragm speakers used in many toys. The other two holes came in handy, with the small one just the right diameter for a small LED. Using a dual 555-based siren circuit, I installed the board in the bottom of the camper, and wired in the right size speaker, LED, and toggle switch into the police station, and made it work! It is fascinating to note that, at least in mine, it was clearly intended to have electronic circuitry in the design, but at some point it must have been dropped, and the resulting camper had an empty shell instead.

episode started so strong, with the fanny pack full of cars (sadly, think i did the same, at various times growing up), the mario 3 t-shirt and the sounds. Couldnt really relate to the episode past the 'van' part, as no one around me had anything like that, at least, that we bothered to play with, i do remember the cruddy polly pocket and knockoffs lol

I had the van back when I was a kid! And a load of Micro Machines - I was the only kid in the family back then and everybody kept buying them for me, I am sure I had over 100 of them by the time I was 12.
