Solid video. I am hoping you guys factored in the phalates from the plastics you use to grow these crops. Please look into it if you have not already. Vinyl and plastics are very bad

I’m trying to add micro greens to my system, any ideas on how to keep vermiculite out of my fish/sump tank?

The microgreen flats should be on a simple timed flood and drain system that bottom waters them 1 or 2 times a day depending on your climate. We typically do not have these integrated directly with the fish system but on a different system with it's own pump and reservoir. That way we can control the precise timing of the flood and drain along with nutrient amendments. I would just make sure you only raise the water under the flats just enough to soak into the bottom of the tray. If the water is too high it will destabilize the seeds and vermiculite and make a mess.

hello, first of all great video! i was looking some information of how to grow microgreen on aquaponics to try it on my final university degree project!. I just wondering if you could orientate me about the flow rate needed on the nursery deck. its enought keeping just an 1 cm of water column circulating?. Greetings from Chile!

I don't have a specific flow rate other than we typically watered twice a day for 15 minutes. Depending on your climate you may need 3x day if it is real hot. Just make sure that the water is flowing in a way that the full tray is saturated from below. You don't want the water flowing so fast that it disrupts the media or the tray itself. As always it will take a little experimentation until you find what works best for you.
