Microlab Speaker Rebuild - EN

Rebuild of the Microlab Solo 6c speakers using pine boards and white paint.
The speaker drivers and the built-in amplifier were put into new wooden enclosure.

I have a pair of these speaker, I'm thinking of deactivating the amplifier part that is very weak to use a external source... has anyone done it?

I have these speakers and was thinking of painting them to improve the look. Not sure how it would go though or what sort of paint to use.

You have to rebuild the boxes. I now would use MDG and veneer it.

Did you used same box size as the original? How the result was?

Yes, the same size. Just an looks upgrade.

hello! I would like to do the same thing with the solo 7c ( they are really dissapointing compared with the original 6c...) Could you help me with some plans or dimensions? (if u ever thought of rebuilding the solo 7c too) Thanks!

first15raven thanks for the review! If i find i will sure send you the sketchup file of these, so you only have to update it to fit the 7c.. if i were you, i would try to use plywood now or mdf and veneer it then. And to improve sound, use slightly larger bass reflex port

I do not agree that it looks better. It looks the same. Both designs get 3½ stars from me.

Desmentindo o adjetivo inicial do vídeo !!! São uns lixos !!! Não pela qualidade de som mas sim pela durabilidade e a difícil manutenção ! Geralmente quando para ( e vai parar !!!) Vira lixo !!! Ou gastasse em gambiarra o valor delas novas para arrumar ! E não é russa , é xing ling !!! Fujam dessa bomba !
