Each time I’ve had postpartum shedding I lost hair on my temples … I’d wear middle part to hide the sides and if I wore my hair out I’d use a satin or silk scarf as a headband. I also stuck to one oil and used it 2-3 times a week in that area & waited patiently for it to return. By babies first bday my edges were fully back.

Im not postpartum, but experiencing edge thinning due to peri menopause (women go through so much i tell you). I did lose alot of hair after giving birth many years ago so its common. Now im using jamaican black castor oil and keeping my hairline very moisturized probably every other day. Also i steam my locs. It works wonders for retaining moisture and its good for your scalp and hairline too.

I, too, had thinning on my right side more than my left side, i am still regrowing mine back and my youngest is 13😢...sometimes, starting back on prenatal vitamins can help restore the edges.

For edge thinning try pure refined emu oil. I applied twice a day although it’s recommended to use three times a day.

If you can manage, don’t re-tie the edges for the next 4 months. That hair will continue to shed.
