I thought I had fine hair starting out but she said I actually have medium density. That was my one big concern, thinking it was going to look scalpy. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t! I’m so in love Chile! 😅❤ Yours look awesome and I’m so glad you still love them. I try to talk everybody into getting them who expresses even the smallest smidge of interest. 😂

@@mrsawitherspoon Thanks but I was definitely giving scalpy in the beginning 😂.

Your hair looks beautiful, as does your makeup. I’m still contemplating micro locs

Thanks! If you decide to get them you'll definitely love them.

Microloc'd a year. I am embracing the full process, little manipulation for me, so no braid outs, just rocking it out. You look beautiful!!

Idk about you but this year has gone by so fast.

I am so grateful for your input. I am so ready to start my journey! I am trying to be patient and wait until September, but I'm ready to take these braids out and start my locs.

@MichealMyers-o3q thank you. I actually started my locs myself last Friday. I was so frustrated with these beauticians and got stood up, so I said, NO MORE! I'LL DO IT MYSELF!!! LOVING IT ALREADY!!

I guess I need to stop procrastinating and just do it. 😢

I definitely understand that. I eventually cut my straight ends. I had found someone that was willing to interlock it all the way down but the price was a tad bit high.
@brendacapers68844 ай бұрын
I also regret starting with straight ends. I have to braid every night.

I agree with now wishing I had started with interlocking! I have braidlocs and I love the interlocked part and I have been discussing with my loctician ways in which I can maintain my grid, undo the braids and interlock by Dec. In regards to heat damage, when I was a loose natural, I did damage when I did silk presses myself. I never cut my hair. I reversed the damage by using bond conditioners (Olaplex). You may want to investigate that. My curls would come back after 2-3 treatments.

Thanks! I've never tried Olaplex. I'm going to look into it. What do you currently use to wash your hair?
@eduns1235 ай бұрын
Which olaplex number did you use please. Was is the conditioner no. 5? Or the pre treatment no.3

I have fine hair as well. I started with braids at the roots and twist at the end. I maintain with interlock. I have found myself braiding the loose ends, I'll see how the next 12 weeks transformation looks like!

@@sherlineskitchen keep me posted. I've tried braiding a few to the end but it didn't stay braided.
@alisonmiller27085 ай бұрын
@keeksdiary You may try adding a tiny knot at the end of your braid or a tiny dot of instant glue to keep the braided strands from loosing. Perhaps you can try these tests on two locs in inconspicuous places and watch how they turn out.

How do you feel about your grid pattern? I’m afraid mine is going to look scalpy so I told them I want to do bricklay where my hair isn’t as dense
