The ease of washing is enough reason to switch over from being a loose natural 😁

This is the reason I’m really starting to think about getting microlocs…I’m very tender headed and the detangle process the worst
@chickpeashawty

Girl. That’s what I’m saying! I spent hours detangling my hair yesterday and I’m sooooo over it. I’ve had traditional locs before and am now considering microlocs because I don’t have the time or patience for my loose natural hair. 😭

The longer they get, it does take time though. Im almost 5 years in, so it takes a min, plus since I have color treated locs I still do rinses, protein treatments, and deep conditioners once a month. Drying takes a minute too. But it's still not like loose hair because I'm not styling like that anymore.

❤❤❤ and I do mean the good life!!! When I started my love with 3 inches of hair everyone doubted the process. But 2 years in I get compliments galore. The hair freedom is best! They move like loose hair, so I can style it the way I want. I love them!

Yes to SoulCap! I’m still a loose natural and I live for my SoulCap! And I will still use it with my microlocs! My one piece of advice would be to wear a bonnet to bed and if you are wearing beanies or even if you are at home on a cloth couch.

Stunning, stunning hair you've got. ❤. I did microtwists and the most fun part is pouring water on it almost daily, as I did with loose coils. I don't have any concrete plans for now, so just enjoying it with very diluted vinegar rinse, a tiny bit of conditioner on ends and oil on ends, so it doesn't loc when I want to untwist.

You see how you can get bits of hair caught on a towel? There's less snagging with a smoother fabric like a t-shirt or microfibre.

Downside having to still sit hours for a retwist and paying a fortune to do it. Not freedom at all. Black women pay and take up so much time for our hair. It’s the worst part. Love the hair hate the prep and price
