Microphone Only Recording Left or Right Channel - How To Fix

Did you record something with a microphone, and now you only have sound in one channel, either the right or the left side? Listening to a recording where the vocal is hard-panned left or right can be really annoying. In this FL Studio tutorial, I will explain why your microphone only recorded to one channel (left or right), and how to fix this. I will explain how to prevent this from happening in the first place, and also how to fix it after it has happened. While this tutorial is intended for FL Studio, the process is fairly similar in most other daws.

FireWalk I would love to see videos about different sub genres in Trance. Also a full breakdown with everything in it. So, structure, arrangement, mixing, sound design, maybe some tips for what sounds work well with Trance. It’s also my favorite genre and although it has simple rules I find it hard to put things together. Sometimes I succeed with a nice song but not always.

hello, do you know how to get vocal recordings out of mono? I cannot get them to stereo, and its not a problem with my mic because my recordings have been stereo in my past projects.

This used to be a very common problem on KZbin, but I haven't heard an example in a while. I wonder if the KZbin software is able to recognize the error and fix it during the upload, without the uploader even being aware.

Question: When I go live on Facebook or when I record in Quicktime the sound always comes out the left side. I understand how you just told us to fix the issue by changing to a mono setup however how do I make it mono when I when I am recording to Facebook Live or when I am recording in Quicktime on my Mac? Facebook doesnt give you the option of a mono setup nor does QuickTime. So how do I get it to come out on the right and left side if I dont get the option of choosing a mono setup?

Rendering it after merging just creates another exact instance of the original because the rendered version is automatically routed to that channel but as soon as you route the new one to a different channel, it's hard=panned again. Is there no solution to this? Really ridiculous.

Thanks. Perhaps your mixer is not large enough. Click at the top and drag up to make it taller. That way the pan knob should show up.

You probably have triangular panning law enabled. Try making two copies of the clip. Route them to two separate mixer tracks and then Pan one left and the other left. You can then consilidate or render out the clip. The channels will be merged.
