I thought it was a fair comparison...I was surprised that the Sure Beta 58 held up so well, I got mine free and rarely use it. The EV cobalt CO4 was what I was interested in but I have a EV N/D 457 + N/D 357 that sound better. However, I was knocked out by the Sontronics STC-2! Nice sound! The Chinese copy, the JTS PDM 57 (peoples department of music 57) was ok.

it's not the same clip, i've played the riff once with all the mics connected to the audio interface
