Microplastics | Environmental Impact of Microplastics - Explained | UPSC

In April 2023, a new study on microplastics was published in the journal PLoS ONE titled ‘A growing plastic smog Urgent solutions required’. Microplastics are tiny bits of various types of plastic found in the environment. The name is used to differentiate them from “macroplastics” such as bottles and bags made of plastic.
