I’m so, so excited for this guy, I love trees and just exploring and surviving more than combat, so it’s perfect for me! I also prefer the smaller dinosaurs, and I love scavenging xD I’ve always loved the iridescent plumage of blackbirds and starlings, it would be so amazing if we get a skin like that! I’m usually patient, but this is a hard one to wait for x’D

Id love to see symbiosis for Microraptor/Rhamphorhynchus or some of the other smalls where they can eat "tics" off or clean the teeth of sleeping dinos giving themselves some food and the dino a cleaned buff (increased healing rate). You wouldn't be able to infinitely eat off a dino, once they got a clean buff theirs no more food to be had Would give a reason for dinos to tolerate them and also just be a cool mechanic. Think it would help a lot with tedium too. Otherwise your just in a tree all day

Something I would like for microraptor is it being a support dino, having a ton of support abilities that both buff allies and debuff enemies to make up for a lack of damage and health, making it a really good choice for carni teams, it would have better support than lamb but unlike lamb it would not be capable of combat, so yeah i think if it got those, people would play this dino often for superior support and maybe even help itself fight

I hope you can climb rocks as well as trees with the mechanic. . . As cool as climbing trees is, it’s not exactly practical, except for evading predators. However being able to climb rocks would be both cool and very useful

There's a type of locomotion called " wing-assisted incline running" that I would love to see from the larger raptors like deinon and laten. I don't think they need to climb, that could simply be microrap thing but the incline running would be amazing and educational addition to the game. It is theorized to be the origin of flight even...with some arguments against it but who cares. So with WAIR in game the raptors wouldn't climb, they would use some stamina to run up vertical walls. It would be easier to animate too since it's just running and flapping really. Only downside to it is that changing direction isn't a thing. You run up and try to aim it so that you can stand on something like a branch or a rock. If you fail to find standing you just drop down so no biggie. The agility this could give to raptors would be insane. They could run the walls of canyons. I'm pretty sure I've talked about WAIR before, it's just one of those bird things that could really hit home the birness of these animals.

I imagine because Microraptor will be a climber it will be quite slow on land. But it will be also be limited on where it can go since hot spots barely have any trees. So Dark Woods and Hunters Thicket and Whistling Columns would be the best options grow and eat. Maybe they can allow Microraptor to eat butterflies you see around Gondwa but can’t currently interact with them.

I'm extremely interested to see how this dinosaur gets implemented. It's kind of crazy how the world changes around you when you start playing a small-sized dinosaur it's like a whole nother ecosystem when the extremely large ones just tend to ignore you and all you really see is a New perspective and a completely different roster of predators who are after you.

Also, it is quite possible that Microraptors/other Dinosaur had tetrachromatic view/sight. So they appear blackish/iridescent, but to them they could be heavily coloured. Also about microraptor being "weak". It is just a different niche. Not every Animal is supposed to be equal and it just is about skill. Microraptor should be quite safe from most Dinosaurs. Maybe Pterosaurs and Mammals could be a Problem in the Air/Forest. Or big Insects. I wouldn't want Microraptor to be too impactful in the Game. I mean with buffs and so on. They are way to small and can glide/run/climb. This sounds more like something for a Team deathmatch scenario to me. Microraptor could be the perfect observer and opportunistic small guy that adds more niches that don't interfere much with other niches.

I know it‘s a but crazy but I would love to see a vampiristic diet for microraptor. Using the trees and the gliding to sneak up to unsuspecting, sleeping dinosaurs, landing gently behind them and then having the abilitly to start feeding off of them without causing the pain sound for the larger prey. That way if you successfully sneak up, you can start eating without them noticing. Would this be realistic? Probably not. Would it be a new epic niche? Absolutly. Some birds also feed on blood

I know one more thing about microraptor in PoT that you haven't shown in the video: mimicking other dinosaur calls. In an interview with IKnowDino, one of the devs of PoT suggested a possibility of it being a trolling dinosaur that messes with people by mimicking their voices. Granted, this was waaay before growth was a thing and the steep downfall of the game, so I'm not excited about it: it's probably just going to have a generic call like everything else except for thlasso.

I just wanna say, the best glinding mechanic I have ever seen is in the ARK Survival, more specifically for the Rock Drake, where you mostly steer with a mouse, the more you point downwords the faster you go, and by aiming upwards you only slightly go up, but also slow down, but slowing down too much will result in falling. The animation of the glinding is also just so gooooooood. Micro definitely needs insectivore as a diet option. I just feel like micro will be cool when it first launches, but get dull quickly. A lot of the draw to growing a dino is fighting other dinos in your weight class. There's nothing small like they are so I don't know how they'd be able to have that aspect of game play in their playstyle.

Microraptor will be great In path of titans with the gliding and the tree climbing and should be a scavenger to eat bones, meat, insects, fish and will be small and weak and it would be cool if it would eat parasites on a dinosaurs skin as what it did 65m years ago but it probably won’t be in the game but we never know and we have the other 2 dinosaurs coming which are Miragaia and achillobator and the mystery dinosaur which could be a joke but it could be Monolophosaurus, nodosaurus, Dinheirosaurus, segnosaurus or Koreaceratops again it could be joke and they will be released soon and microraptor should be able to land on a tree trunk after gliding and climbing might or might not cost stamina but it could but we never know and there is no estimated arrival date for microraptor but it was crowdfunded with a lot of usd and is confirmed to be added so let’s hope we get it soon! I'm just throwing this one out there but... Is it concerning that the goal was reached back in 2019 and the microraptor still isn't in the game in 2023? I just recently started the game and i have no knowledge of game development etc but it seems like a long time.

As someone who was a kickstarter for the game, back then it wasn't in a functional state. In fact iirc, there wasn't even multiplayer at the very start, and you couldn't actually play the game. All you could do is watch the ai dinosaurs do their thing. What I'm trying to say is that games take a long time to develop, and Path of Titans has had a looooooooot of updates since its initial (very early access) release. Since 2019, it has received a ton of new and unique dinos, a new map, flying and ocean dinos, seamless hatchling to adult growth, and improvements to combat. They also added mod support as well. I'd say that's a good amount of updates, especially when compared to, uh... *competitors*.

Game pretty much has been built from the ground up over 4 years, while it’s stretch goal stuff, the game also isn’t in a full release yet so it’s not a problem, just gives an idea of what will come to the game :) Look at the isle as another dinosaur game, way more promises that haven’t been met in like 7 years
