Microsoft Access Form Properties Sheet

I have a question about the Property Sheet. I recently ran into a problem where the Property Sheet is visible but none of the values are displayed on it. For example, I want to change the format of a field on a form or report and I can't see what the current settings are and I can't enter new settings. This is true for all the various tabs: Format, Data, Event, Other and All. Something is broken and I can't figure out how to fix it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks for the video I find it very informative. This tutorial get me closer to what I am looking for. I am trying to find out how form is related to data table but when I do the same thing what you did on property sheet Field and Table field are blank is there any way how to find form and Data table relationships? Thanks
