Hi, thanks for the video. Can you briefly explain why you should create separate account for all of the crm services? Maybe some links to learn that... Thank you.
@azurefinery7912
@azurefinery7912 9 жыл бұрын
pimpfrt Hi This is mainly fom security reasons - Isolating the service accounts gives you the option to provide minimum permissions to each account - according to what it needs - if one of the accounts gets compromised, the damage will be minimum. you can read about it here: technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699825.aspx

Michael, I had a problem with SQL DNS Aliases ended with Reporting is not enabled in CRM Deployment Manager. Can u please help me with this somehow? In my case from CRM 2015 installation perspective SQL Server is A, reporting services server is B, but physically server is B.
@azurefinery7912
@azurefinery7912 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Stefan I didn't quite understand the last sentence regarding the server B again? If you are missing the reports in the Deployment Manager then you need to run the SSRS data connector on the reporting services server - In your case server B i assume.

@azurefinery7912

Thanks for the great video . Here i m facing some issues while installing CRM 2015 setup. I am using MS 2012 R2 machine ,when i installed AD i wasn't able to access it so it advised me to promote it to domain controller. When i made my machine a domain controller, at the step where you make an organisational unit as "CRM 2015" and give all permissions...there when i right click it in the CRM Properties 2015 window i cannot see the Security Tab (12:56) In between installation the local user should have all the permissions,but since my machine is a domain controller , i am unable to grant all access to a local user in a domain controller. If i remove AD DS role then my AD is inactive i.e i am unable to create a user there and if i promote my machine as domain controller i am unable to access the local groups in my machine to able able to grant all permissions to my AD organisational unit (CRM 2015 )user . I tried remove the roles and installing it again. Also there were issue with the My SQL setup ,since i was unable to open the My SQL Reporting services .So the CRM installation did not go forward. Also you have made changes under Local Users and Groups but for me since my machine is a domain controller the "Local User and Groups" is crossed for me. So my setup is stuck at point 17:39 and i cant proceed further. some clarifications ... 1) do you use a separate Server for installing SQL ?in video it seems same machine. when i tried the "Service Accounts" (3:37 ) was not visible in AD so cannot create it :( 2) Is it necessary to make my machine a domain controller? 3) I am using SQL 2012 .is it necessary to install SQL 2014 ?

PRAGYA SHUKLA Hi all, i got a resolution for enabling the local users..still confused whether to make two different machines ..one for SQL server 2012 and other for CRM 2015 or install both on the same machines ?

PRAGYA SHUKLA Regarding the machines - it's always a best practice to separate them - but it depends on the amount of users, type of environment (prod,dev,test etc...), and many more factors - It's really up to you.

Do we have the SIngle Sign-On Settings in the On-Prem solution of MS CRM 2015 ?does it support SAML ? Can i use it as a Service Provider to authenticate a user with its credentials ?
@azurefinery7912
@azurefinery7912 9 жыл бұрын
PRAGYA SHUKLA Hi CRM is SSO out-of-the box as it is fully integrated with AD, it also supports ADFS. And yes you can use it as a service provider.
@ampragya
@ampragya 9 жыл бұрын
Dynamics Essentials Thanks for quick reply.please clarify what is meant by SSO out-of-box? So do i need to configure ADFS in a different machine or same machine as CRM setup for SSO ?
@azurefinery7912
@azurefinery7912 9 жыл бұрын
PRAGYA SHUKLA You don't need to configure anything special to work with SSO - CRM is integrated with Active directory so as long as you work from your domain - It works SSO. If you want to authenticate with SAML you need to install ADFS and configure CRM to work with it
@ampragya
@ampragya 9 жыл бұрын
