Yk, your cooked when your pilot asks u how to turn the screen on
@MetalGamer666Ай бұрын
You should ALWAYS add some power when you deploy flaps. Even when the 4 precision approach path indicator (PAPI) lights on the left of the runway all turned red, you didn't increase power. Remember, when there are more red lights than white lights, you are too low. When there are more white lights than red lights, you are too high. When there are the same amount of red and white lights, you are on the correct glide slope.

If you’re ever having trouble flying in the clouds, storms, or night pause the game and it’ll show you the designated flight path and you can use that to guide you back on course

Get your multi engine endorsement before jets. Your passenger complained about being sick because you over banked the cessna. Go a little more gentle on the turns with the VIP's. Packages on the other hand never complain :)

I just started watching this series, I hope by the time I catch up u realise u can use ur rudder in the air.

Next to your screen are the AP controls, turn on AP, select Nav - that will get you flying the pre-input flight path (purple line) that you see in game. Then its just a matter of pulling back some power and selecting the altitude they control you down to. In order to do this you highlight the altitude Control knob and rotate down to your selected alt. Then, press the button that says FLC, but make sure you have pulled back power some, the aircraft will automatically descend within limits to your selected flight level while flying the nav path.

To turn on the screen press the enter button on the bottom right (A set of buttons all the way to the right of the screen and then the ENT button, bottom right). The screen is technically already on (Connected to the avionics buttons) but it is on the main screen. In case you want to look up a tutorial it is the G1000 avionics system. It also has an alright autopilot

to land easyer you can set your trim before landing to 0 vertical speed so right before touching down you just release the stick

The best part of this game is when you finally get a bit better at landing and don't have to repair your plane often such a fun game

Correct pronunciations should be ray-a-tay-a (Raiatea) and Oo-too-roh-a (Uturoa) as they are POLYNESIAN names and in the South Pacific. A very long way from Barbados and the Caribbean.

The random violations make career progression so annoying. I always get them when I use flaps when landing and sometimes it says I entered the runway without clearance even though I have clearance
@swoop1352Ай бұрын
You know that plane has an autopilot, right?
@munzy7226Ай бұрын
I would’ve loved to learn about the usage of autopilot in career mode. But it is sadly not included atm (at least not to my knowledge). Still flying horrendous miles by hand because I just can’t figure out how the autopilot works. I know how to turn it on, just don’t know how to change heading, altitude and the such… so if you have a nice tutorial I would love to get deeper into the matter :)

@@munzy7226 I bet there are video guides on youtube and written guides with pictures on google..
@swoop1352Ай бұрын
@@munzy7226 It all depends on the plane and type of avionics. The C172 with the Garmin G1000 that's being flown in this series has a mildly complicated look to it, however, the twisty knobs have both an inner and outer twisty bit, one of the them is for heading, the other altitude. Heading is easy cos it's pretty obvious you want the autopilot set to heading mode and then twist the twisty til you're pointing the right way. Altitude is more complicated. For now, just hand fly to the correct altitude and then engage alt hold mode. Once you're comfortable you can start experimenting with the various modes to change altitude on autopilot. There is an instrument landing system....which will fly the plane right to the runway......but it's a bit too complicated for a beginner.

@munzy7226 watch the cessna 172 skyhawk autopilot tutorial by "kip on the ground" its for msfs 2020 but its the same as 2024. Mainly focus on heading, altitude hold, and vertical speed mode because the nav modes kind tweak in career mode for me not sure why

Stop whining. I have done transatlantic flights in earlier versions at 2..4x the speed depending on the stage and weather with no skips. Run out of fuel on Concorde after 2 hours somewhere close to Greenland and what not. That's when I learned commercial flying isn't really all that exciting. Just do your job, ok? 🤣
