I remember when transitioning from p3d to msfs 2020 I wrote my old settings, one by one, on paper, and copied each one in the new sim. A few hours of hard work. After watching your video, I'm realizing we did have a print screen key back then:) Will do screenshots this time; times change and with it more experience comes:)) Cheers.

This was exactly what I was getting ready to do, so good to see someone thinking along the same lines here. It will be tedious but there are hours of work embodied in these settings, so what else can we do?

I already uninstalled 2020, I'll reconfigure everything, patiently, new experience, I want to focus on the new things instead of trying to make it like it was. and my community, most of the items are custom airports, so I'm gonna port them manually one by one IF I need them.

There was and still maybe a program called MS2020 controls. It could read all your control settings for mouse, keyboard, throttles, yokes, etc and it make a pdf or I think even xml. I’ll have to see if it works for the latest 2020 and maybe let you know.

Should I install msfs 2024 on an external hard drive or the c drive?

I'd recommend against an external as it will probably be much slower than your C Drive.

Is it possible to run parallel instances of 2020 and 2024 in separate PCs and compare the settings to replicate each one. I think that's not an option since one has to replicate all the add-on hardware as well. I just thinking aloud. I like video clip rather than screenshotting each screen.

Maybe possible. I wonder though if you can sign in with the same account at the same time. In theory no issues since it's a different title. Not a bad idea to test once it's live.

Can someone keep the MSFS 2020 on the same drive as for the MSFS 2024 ?

I have the steam version and it should be just like any other game and I can't see it being an issue. I am shifting my copy to another drive only because of space issues.
