From my own test TAA is still currently the best. Blurry cockpit displays on both DLSS and FSR. DLSS is slightly better though.

TAA is always going to be the best . DLSS and FSR simply give people an opportunity to play at faster frame rates without melting their machine. Some of us play on triple screen which is a disaster to render with one GPU (unless you have the 4080) . but if you play in single screen with a powerful machine , than YES , YOU ARE CORRECT! TAA ALL THE WAY !

Very nice :) I just hopped from 35-36fps to 45-46fps by switching to DX12(beta) - i might try to squeeze some more out of my triple 50" setup :)

Just tried DLSS Performance and it gave me an extra 5fps so i'm hovering around 50fps now with triple monitors and two touch-panels :)

No doubt that DLSS2 helps a lot on the 3000 series cards. DLSS3 also works just as well on the 4090 but it can also do 4K Full Ultra TAA with Frame Generation and NO upscaling needed, and thus no artifacts, and give the same FPS you are getting (45-50 doubled to 90-100 over London). Nearly finished building my system into its case and just flew from London City Airport along the Thames 😁. Hardware has just about caught up with MSFS!

I am so happy that you got a 4090 !!! Please enjoy !!! Because I lack any sort of patience ...I went out and bought a 3080 two months ago (Upgrade from a 2080 super). Truth be told , I would have needed to upgrade my whole pc ....a 4090 will not fit in my current setup. With all that said ...I will get one next summer ! That is a promise ! PS the reason i thought this video would still be relevant is because most of us are in no position to get a 4090

@@DaSimSimma Fortunately the case that I bought for my old 10900K and 3090 was big enough to take a 4090 with enough room for the pump/reservoir at the end of it. 13900K at 5.7GHz all P cores, 4.4GHz on all the E cores, and TUF 4090 OC work brilliantly with custom loop watercooling. I'm very lucky to be in a position to buy it and you will definitely enjoy a 4080 or 4090 when you get one!

My gaming laptop only had 16g (2x8) of ram, I swapped that out to dual 32g's and went from 19-21 fps to 30-35 fps right away. With DX11, I tried DX12 but it was way slower. Will retry with what you show at the end of your video. Now I can use dual 4k panels and the laptop panel, with most settings High or Ultra and DLSS performance. Or TAA @ 70 scaling. Now I have to decide if I want more LOD or more FPS... Laptop is an Asus ROG Strix Scar 17" with Ryzen 9 6950 w/3080 8G + 64g ddr5 ram, SSD is a WD Black SN770 2tb, faster than the original Samsung Asus installed. I was struggling so much before, everyone saying the bottleneck being the CPU or the GPU. Now I know that 16g is too small for MSFS, you need 24g or more.

Hi I was watching you video on three monitors. You mentioned the flicker in your right screen. I had a problem with that for over two months and was just about to buy another video card when I came across a KZbin video and in it, he mentioned it could be caused by a bad monitor cable. My set up had worked fine for about a month when it started, and I had purchased what I thought were capable cables being 8K and I have a 4K tv. It was a cable that I didn't know the name but looked great. I then went on Amazon and bought a cable made by Monster cable knowing they had a good reputation. My tv went from flickering all the time to now I haven't had 1 flicker since I changed it. I hope this helps. Hank

DX12 and a new NVidia game ready driver 526.98 from today - no dice - way slower. DX11 perfectly fine. With the 4k panels, TAA @ 70 looks better but not as fast as DLSS + Performance. For sure a desktop has less thermal problems than a gaming laptop, so I expect it to be slower.

I am so glad to read this first. I was going to take the hit for everyone and do a test tonight of the new Nvidia driver. The very dicey thing with that is sometimes when you upgrade a driver you cannot revert. It looks like you're reverting but there's packets left behind that effect even the old driver so nothing will ever be the same.Thank you so much for doing it for us just based on this I will definitely not go there.

What Nvidia GPU do you have? DX11 is a slower on my system since switching to an AMD card I am getting much better performance with DX12.
