Recently bought the Logitech Rudder Pedals, Turtle Beach Flight Yoke & Throttle Quadrant and found out my Quest 2 allows for an immersive VR experience. So crazy the immersion with VR in a plane. I do plan to use Vatsim soon. Even went as far to purchase a ground school training to get more familiar (and to also snag PPL at some point too). Crazy fun what you can do in sims and am very excited about FS 2024 coming soon too!

Stream decks give lots of control options but if you want to up the immersion level you need Air Manager. Imagine a touch screen up top with an A320 overhead. Layout and operation matches the real thing and very versatile for use with other aircraft.

Amazing setup TFD !! I've spent so much money on various racing rigs, racing wheels, flight control systems etc and still don't have a proper flight sim setup, partly due to lack of room to have it permanently set up and partly due to my stupidity by not putting any thought in. I do have a permanent rig for Euro Truck Sim 2 and ATS playing in VR. A well deserved sub and of course have liked the vid. Cheers, Daz, Leicester. 😎🙏👍

(here is something you might want to check out..I remember a movie called "Brainstorm" starring Christopher Walken 1982..and he worked in a lab that had a VR headset that put you in a VR world and they had a flight sim program that put you in the control of a real fighter jet..yep this was waaaay ahead of its time...cya

You're missing one of the cheaper and absolutely game changing things - a head tracker! Highly recommend tobii eye tracker 5 as the head tracking is 3d and super smooth. Once you start flying vfr with it and leaning into instruments you'll never be able to fly without it.

man anytime i go back to my triples from VR, i feel like Im just playing a "game", with VR, i am IN the "game". No triple/monitor set up in my opinion can match it. And a good VR set is like $300 and your set (hp reverb g2 for example)

Ive been a big fan of flight panels, but one thing that I dont like is their price model for Aerolens. Its the most simple profile that they have, and yet they pump them out and are charging $24 each. It’s ridiculous. I have a lot of their profiles, and have no issue now duplicating a profile for new aircraft. Obviously these are fairly straightforward view profiles that are often the same for many aircraft. $24 just doesnt seem to make sense when its a cost for every aircraft

Setting up triple monitors isnt even that bad. I use triples, setting them up in msfs takes like 2 minutes at most, other than that you can just plug them into your pc and go to the settings to make sure its all lining up

MSFS is a pain to sort out, such that if you arent angle 90 degrees with each monitor, that ‘across cockpit’ angle ends up looking a bit odd, especially on a smaller monitor Unlike in sim racing with proper FOV, MSFS falls short sadly
