As a mostly Xbox player since 2016 I can say that halo infinite biggest problem is sbmm the same goes for Call of duty. So if halo infinite has sbmm now then surely Microsoft won’t remove it from Call of duty either anytime soon unfortunately.

As an xbox player I couldn't be more glad because when the games eventually come to GamePass there will be a resurgance of player numbers in the golden era cods, I recommend everyone who wants to experience once more the MP of MW2 or BO1 buy a xbox. Also regarding the management of Halo by Microsoft I gotta say most of the franchise decadence is because of the new dev studio, they simply are not on par to the previous studio Bungie.

You’re forgetting to mention the implementation of skill based matchmaking in halo infinite. That’s the biggest problem with halo and call of duty now. Plus most modern multiplayer games. If Halo has it now then Microsoft surely won’t remove it from call of duty’s either.

if they instantly fixed matchmaking they will fix bo2 next the infections! microsoft always fixes these things this will also happen cause all the games will appear on the game pass and they want everything to work correctly
