Microsoft Power Automate | Read Excel and send Email | Tutorial

In this guide, you learn how to import data from Excel to Microsoft Power Automate, how we evaluate those data (conditions greater/less than) and how we send an email based on the result of those conditions.

To get the data from our Excel table, we use the action 'List rows present in a table. The Excel sheet is placed in our OneDrive or SharePoint site.

To iterate through each of our Excel rows we use the 'Apply to each' aciton.

Hi, I'm trying to redirect an email to an specific sales person according to the territory they work in using an Excel file. The Excel has a column named "Assigned to" which vlookups the email assigned from another table. But power automate wont read that "Assigned to" email when placed in To or CC. Do you have any ideas?

Thank for sharing info. I have a use case where i need to send email to multiple people. for example, i have temperature senor data. if it less than 15 degrees temperature for more than 2 day i need to send email every day to L1 support team. if the temperature continues to be less 15 degree for more than 3 day send email to next level L2 team +L1 team and for more than 4 days send to manager +L1+L2 team. W need to send email daily once. and ability to update/remove/add users to email . Can we achieve this functionality using power automation.

Hey Merajuddin. You need to format it as a table in Excel. Usually you will just do it manually - right click anywhere in your table, then select 'Format as Table' from the 'Home Tab' and chose the layout, you want. The default table name will be 'Table1', but you can change that - mark your table and in the 'Table Design' tab, you will see a box with 'Table Name' in it. If you're not into that, you could create a macro. Did that solved your question? Kind regards, Anders

Great tutorial, but man could Microsoft do a better job of making the formulas more user friendly. It's such a painful experience to try to compose a formula and the relevant parameters.
