UPDATE: Siri voices now possible to be converted to audio file natively thanks to the Shortcuts app and a shortcut called Turn Text Into Audio. With a few adjustments, you can get any system voice to generate an audio file, though it generates in .caf format. In addition, all Macintalk voices, including those in the novelty category, have been successfully ported to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 by Apple. kzbin.info/www/bejne/enSZm52ChNWUgJI There is also an unconfirmed rumor going around stating that Apple has provided an API for developers to integrate third party TTS engines into iOS, though the documentation is not clear about how one would obtain said 3rd party voices.

@@winelectronic101 speaking of voices, when you save the voice clips from balabolka, do you rename them to anything or... because for me its shows the audio file name as the text you type in.

​@@kemia3492 Generally what I like to do is go in alphanumeric order (especially if it's a multipart audio file that is so complex and needs to be in order). By default for some reason it chooses the first words to put as your filename.

@@winelectronic101 I think by alphanumeric order you mean you probably set it as 01.wav or something or. Ok I don't know. But is there not any setting in balabolka that allows you to do so? Because just having the first words will make it soooooo hard to even find the files later as its stored in your documents folder and has a lot of files in the way like the windows sounds you have (which I think you used the os sound kit for) which at this point probably doesn't even get any more updates because windows esthetic's (the original creater of that project) doesn't have plans to continue that, or that pack might be something different in the future. But thoughs folders and files are probably going to get in the way of the first words that balabolka uses.

I wouldn't say that the voices at 19:20 are normal voices. All of these voices are (or, in the case of Nicky, have been) used for the voice of Siri. That makes all of these voices Siri voices.

Hey Nora, I use a screen reader called Jaws. I wish you were one of my Jaws voices. I wish all the mac voices were compatible for jaws! That way I could type things and listen to all of them, including the singing ones.

No such thing exists, however, if you have an Intel based processor, you'll be able to download a patch that allows you to run macOS inside of VMWare.

Sadly, that's not getting updates anymore. Otherwise, you'd have all macintalk voices. iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 ported the rest of the Macintalk family to iPhone and iPad, including those in the Novelty category.

I mean, Alex wasn't included in iOS until 2014, almost 2015, and only on newer devices, and they didn't push over Fred and Victoria until 2016 when those had always been a part of macOS at least 10 years before they were pushed over to iOS.

Well, it's not impossible, but it will be extremely difficult. Plus, if your processor is not by Intel, you are out of luck, since macOS can't be installed in AMD processor Windows computers.

Cortana Virtual assistant is better then Siri. Apple is out of luck, with an iPhone 12.

I actually own a real MacBook Air with the same OS in this video, however, it can only be turned on when connected to a power source. One time when I had it connected it almost created an electric shock, so I immediately unplugged it, shutting the whole thing off. Although to be fair, it's rather annoying to keep it plugged in, especially when that connector can easily be disconnected. One small move and it could just get disconnected which shuts the compputer down.
