My Lenovo IdeaPad just quit on me after six years of being a dependable workhorse. I replaced it with a Surface Pro 5 and wow! I love it! I'm a remote contractor and 99% of my work is done on this machine. Its keyboard is excellent and also works great with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I paid under $400 for it in eBay--a bundle that included the typecover and power supply. No regrets. It's every bit as good as I hoped it would be. ❤️👍🙂

I absolutely love it . I have the m3 version but even then it can handle some light gaming running games like warframe. I mostly use it for word and photo room and there is absolutely no fan noise whatsoever

I have the i5 model because just couldn't wait that extra month :D Great review. I have replaced my other machines with this one and when I do some software I have that surface dock with 2 displays on it and a mouse. I thought initially that I'd still would use my old keyboard, but like you said in the video, the keyboard on SP4 is so great that I only use it :) On gaming side I usually don't play much FPS games. Hearthstone and XCOM2 works perfectly with i5 model too.

Yeah the keyboard definitely is surprisingly good. And yeah the Intel HD 520 graphics on the i5 model is actually capable of running a decent amount of titles. Thanks for watching!

Great review so thanks for posting! I've been using Apple products since 1983 and I was among the first to have a Mac in 1984. Even so, I have used Microsoft products right alongside. Every so often I try to give Microsoft a fair shake and with the advent of the SP4 I also agree that Microsoft may have stumbled across something that actually works! Since Apple has essentially gotten out of the computer business I'm looking more and more at Windows machines these days'and I have my eyes squarely set on the Surface Pro 5. Until then, I'm content with the MacBook running Parallels. I absolutely love Office365 for the Mac 2016, and Windows 10 is much more appealing on the eyes than any of the Mac's, due mainly to their unwillingness to scale display resolution for readability.

Totally agree. I can see some cons of the SP4 being a real deal-breaker. (battery life, single usb port.) Really think Microsoft can easily fix those with the SP5!

Excellent video review. Great editing. I own the exact model and keyboard and I concur with your conclusions. Battery life on this specific model is the only drawback. I get about 5 hours solid business use with display brightness at 75%. I hope MS improves battery capacity with future models. I could accept a slightly heavier model if it meant an extra hour or two of battery. All in all, the SP4 is best in class with regards to hybrid devices.

You can install android with duOS, but the average person wouldn't really want to do that. Though Microsoft did say they are going to merge with the Play Store so they'll have any app that android does. Thanks for watching!

+ItzShirky Hmm this is kind of a tricky question since it differs based on everyone. I had a decent budget to get equipment such as lighting, a camera, slider, tripod, etc. I'd recommend just using what you got for now and keep making videos with what you got. Though one good tip is to always have good lighting, whether it be from outside light or a few lamps here and there. Good lighting really can bring the quality up a ton without costing too much. Hope this helps you out!
