Steps to fix your device.
1. Remove the bottom cover
2. Remove the green main body screws
3. Remove the top cover
4. Unscrew the HDD caddy
5. Unscrew the power supply
6. Flip the device over
7. Remove the top metal plate
8. Unplug and remove the Power supply
9. Install the new power supply
10. Get back to gaming:)

The green screws are grounding screws. It adds safety in case of discharge faults.

I did what the video said to do except i don’t have a new PSU because i just wanted to unplug the PSU and plug it back in because when I turn on my Xbox it will either turn on for 1 second or boot up till get to the Home Screen then it would make a click sound then immediately shut off. So I didn’t know which part of the Xbox is faulty. Thank you.

Replaced power supply after Xbox wouldn’t power up. With new power supply and your helpful video I replaced it and put everything back together. Now it powers up for a second and shuts off. Tried several times and again just powers up and shuts off within a second.

It's possible that you have a blown compositor on the main board. This is somewhat common with Xbox one S's. It is turning on and off because the main board is shorting.

I used to open the xbox one s bottom thing with a t8 torx security screwdriver it wasn’t hard and I didn’t break anything.

Hey there! I thoroughly watched your video and did the procedure. The reason I replaced It was because my XB1S was not turning on and the power supply was making a faint buzzing sound, so I though a fuse may have been burnt etc. Unfortunately after the replacement, it still does not power on :(. I have almost lost hope as it first stopped working in 2019, and hasn't turned on ever since (was in warranty but I did not have time). Would you have any suggestions on what I should do?

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. Most of the time if the power supply replacement doesn't work it is typically a main board issue.

Most likely a power short on the board. Usually only a technician can fix this issue.

Please help...Awesome video BTW...I had a storm surge 4 nights ago and the next day my xbox wouldn't turn on. When I press the power button I hear the noise and the xbox light turns on for about 8 seconds then turns off. I followed the video and replaced the PSU...Now when i press the power button I hear the noise but the light doesn't turn on and neither does the xbox. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

We have had customers send in their units with this same scenario. A storm caused their console to not power on correctly. It could be a shorted chip or component on the main mother board. Unfortunately it could have shorted half of the components on the board. It potentially could be fixed but its probably not worth it monetarily. For the future, make sure to have the console plugged into a surge protector. That usually will keep your console safe.

I've never come across a chirping sound, but if as soon as its plugged in it does that then its probably the power supply. I cant be sure unless I could see it for myself

Probably the Power Supply, the power cable or the outlet that its plugged in to isn't working properly.

I found out my Xbox fan wasn't plugged i think that might have fried the power supply also maybe the hdmi port as well Xbox comes on no signal on TV but the Xbox cuts off one minute after it's on

Hello my console doesnt turn on amymore after cleaning and I didnt do anything wrong so now the only thing that happends is that when I connect the console to the power than I hear a like clicking sound. I would check to make sure that the power supply is plugged in snuggly. If its slightly disconnected it will sort the console. If it was powering on fine before you took it apart, all the components should be fine. Just check all the connections, and try again.

But than I saw your comment and tried again and I noticed the plug for the power supply was pulled up but I did notice that last time so I thought that was supposed to be like that but I gues I pulled it up further and it disconnected. I bought this Xbox One s and it was the most disqustii het console I have ever bought I spend 2 hours cleaning and it still smells like the playground at macdonalds. But thanks for your comment! It is possible that the power supply is shorted. It also could be any of the components on the main board that are shorted as well, but that is uncommon

It could be. It could also mean that the main board has a short due to a failed component. I would try the power supply replacement first.

Question My slim powers on, fan spins a few seconds the turns off. I turned back on and wiggled power cable at the power connection into back of Xbox and can't comes back on but again turns off. Just with your knowledge, does it sound like fan or power supply? I don't have a lot of money to take somewhere to have fixed plus now a days it's hard to trust someone in giving you the correct answer, may say it's something more but not so they can charge more.
