I am still holding it with absolute confidence 💪 though my position was down 80% at the lows around $130s. That will be really scary for someone who don't understand the risk reward. What do you think the impact of the new GAAP rules for digital assets for corporate accounting (ie mark at fair value) will be? I'm guessing more companies will start holding some amount of BTC in their treasuries and if so does that dilute MSTR as a proxy for BTC?

The other reason not mentioned for etf not being negative for mstr is that btc will invariably go up with etf which by definition will make mstr go up. It’s possible that mstr doesn’t go up as much as btc does as a percentage given potentially other options

I have fully funded my retirement acct and turned $15k into $100k. I can’t sell options in my IRA account, nor can I buy any. I want to do something re MSTR calls but only have 35 shares (until it splits) to augment my income in my non-IRA account. Should I just wait for the MSTR split to sell calls, or just treat MSTR as I would BTC., i.e., just treat it like a piggy bank and let it grow - only to be used for emergencies? Also-I am 64 and look forward to your videos every day!

I think its a factor of that its people buying the stock and not just relying on btc price. Also alot of people are trying to short mstr

@@benana87 I deeply regret being swayed by his take on that as I pivoted and it cost me dearly. I've noticed he has been way off on many of his evaluations he has been passionate about. I believe MSTR has always had a strong following as a strong proxy and that has not changed.

I have .1 BTC. I know it is very small. I wonder about the risk of miners not being profitable. BTC requires the network and miners to stay on, doesn't it? It seems like that is a risk not presented very often.

James, when you say that it is a no-brainer to buy bitcoin, If you can borrow $1 billion without interest. However, keep in mind, that some of us have to pay wealth tax in the meantime, and 3-4% of $1 billion is a lot of money to have to dish out while you wait for bitcoin to go up. And many of us also have to pay close to 30% value added tax when we cash in. It might still be a very good idea, but it certainly is neither risk-free nor a non-brained.
