How do you set the thickness of the metal?

Hi Gustav, thank you for your good question. Usually the thickness of the metal sets by the PCB manufacturing standards. For example, if they provide 1oz copper (T=35um) or 2oz copper (T=70um). Therefore, follow the specification that is provided by the manufacturer and set the metal thickness based on that.

Why there is a shift in freq between s11 and s33

Hello Mahesh, Thank you for your question. The main reason for this shift is that the MLIN that is used in ADS is an ideal T-line model while the S2P file generated in HFSS is a realistic model that includes all the EM effects. But if we consider the values of S11 and S33 in dB, although there is about a 10dB difference at 2.4GHz, since the values are quite small (-35dB to -45dB), we can ignore that. Usually, it is better to tune the width and length of the transmission line such that the frequency of the notches matched with each other. Please let me know if you need more explanation.
