Good work! Someone that actually knows how to do a microtopping correctly without all the ugly trowel, chatter, squeegee marks..etc that all the other so called "professional installers" try to pass off as normal. Ive been doing these since 2000 and my process has been pretty much same as yours with a few slight differences but finished product same. This is how it's done...great job!

Well use elitecrete you're probably going to get chatter marks when I use surcrete I get no chatter marks at all

@@47gringo does not matter whos product you use as far as chatter marks. Thats 100% from installer. Chatter is just about impossible to get away from on first base coat when using course sand aggregate. But after sanded down, the finish coats that are either non sanded or very fine silica sand need to be troweled properly to not get any chatter or trowel ridges or swooping trowel patterns.

Our company does both smooth finish and textured finish. I can trowel a floor dead-smooth, but honestly I like the look and character of a textured floor more, and thats what most customers choose as well. The big difference is deliberately adding texture as opposed to it coming about by shoddy worksmanship.

This is not polished concrete...beautiful product!!!!!...but don't tarnish polishings reputation. This floor will not last 100 years like a real polish. Once again though, it looks spectacular.

diamond polished concrete lasts 100 years? Go in any large retail store that has been diamond polished and see how the concrete surface wears over just few short years just from the amount of people walking on it and the polish is gone. Doesnt matter how great a job you do grinding/polishing or what type of densifier you use, the polish WILL fade/wear depending on how much traffic it gets. Polished concrete has to be maintained/re-polished periodically to keep its polish.
