I live on the final of Wiley Post Airport and when it was there it go past our house and it was cool and you could hear it getting near my house. To the pilots thanks your seats when I did a tour and the CAF too.

Great filming! It just popped up! I saw our only flying Lancaster today through Manchester Airport and it just captures people when they go by. I’m sure these old warriors do the same over in the US. Only seen a B29 in a museum so incredibly impressive to see this. Thank you for posting! Paul

Amazing footage. This really makes you appreciate just complex these aircraft are, and the skill level of the crew. The men that flew these in combat during both World War II and Korea were simply incredible (it's unfortunate how few today talk about the VITAL role the B-29 played in the 1950-53 Korean War, without their sheer power to widely take out the North Korean and Chinese supply lines, South Korea and the UN forces could have been overrun, some generals even said their contribution literally helped turn the tide of the conflict).

B-25 Mitchell, "Maid in the Shade", and the B-17, Sentimental Journey" are both based about 15 minutes from my place in Mesa, AZ. Neighbors laugh at me almost breaking my neck every time we hear a radial engine.... like every day!!

Great video! Question: Near the end of your video, at the 1:18:03 mark, do you know what the plane is with the red vertical tail fin, in the center of the view, in the background? It looks like quite a large plane.

Hi Jenna, nice video. This is a great show and I have been here many times. I also had a ride in Fifi and sat in that same spot you did years ago. You may have to fast forward the video a little, but it's in "B 29 Fifi A Personal History" I couldn't have had a better spot to shoot from.

Hi Rodney - yes I did. I've flown on all the 'heavy' bombers from WW2 and the B-25. They are just so thrilling and full of history!

Thank you. They do start them while they are on the flight line to make sure they are working OK and get the plane moving. And then when they are on the taxiways, they shut them off as they could hit the lights.

No tunnel? How are you going to kick out any bombs that failed to drop? Kadena hot and humid, the Yalu at altitude frozen. Don’t wear a chute, if any silk showed you might get sucked out, just hang on. Gloves, and silk glove liners. Leave over mitts at seat. Amazing no one thought of adding anchor points, wearing a harness, and clipping on with a carabiner. Yes, the bombardiers did this.

@billsmith5109 NICE TOUCH. U should write Supe fiction. Got the knack. Not that many air novels came out of Korea. Dunno if any on Supes even exist = make yrself a pioneer, a trailblazer. A couple of nite-Invader paperbacks I own, but havent read em in 2 decades. Suggest use the Chester Marshall oral hist collection 4 vols. as side-fire support .. 4 starters paljon onnea = good luck 🇫🇮
