Is it just me, or do muscadines seem to grow very slowly? Regular grape vines are growing fast, but not the muscadines.

It depends. Muscadines grow the same or faster than jupiter and compassions. It’s slower than concord and everest

@@ken2ny4 Thanks for the reply. It does seem slower than the concord, ruby red, and other common varieties of grapes. I got some small, dormant muscadines vines from a nursery online, but they still have not budded leaves after many weeks. Any advice on salvaging them? I cut the old wood back, and it was dead inside, but the nursery said the roots may still be alive.

@@deepwaters2334 This has happened to me many times. They always grow back from the roots. The only time they completely died on me was when I left them in containers over winter.

@@ken2ny4 Thanks for the advice; I transferred them to another pot to put them in the shade; I'll keep an eye on them.
