No way you see this level in Europe , only by a proffesional orcherstra . The only thing i can say is...I don't know how they do it , but they ( Japan ) can be proud and their school system works . Of course the culture has a lot to do with it and Japanese people are dedicated to the bone .

In Japan they have club's at school, that do different things: Sport-club, Tea-club, art-club, music-club, etc. each club is given a budget some they can use however they want, but they have to deliver in a report. The club activity is usually after school and run by the student's alone. Usually they need to have a minimum of 5 members... but sometimes school can see between fingers. a Windband-club that are often classified in two groups: just for fun and hold many concerts and participate at festivals or the more serious club that want to win music competition, those serious clubs, only participate at big event or festivals. a serious windband club that are going for the competition, would train 4-5 hours every day after school, and sometimes 1 hour before school, in addition they would do 7-10 hours in weekend (30-35 hours a weekend) + a music camp, where they are triangfin for the competition from morning to night. you should be surprised to see these students get up at 5 AM and arent home before 10-11pm (sometimes later).

@@heuhen Thank you very much for your information and now i understand more how this musical level by Japanese bands are achieved . It takes incredably hard work from these students , but it shows and to me Japanese bands are trully the best in the world . It's also a part of the Japanese culture i think to be the best in whatever they do and whatever the costs it may take . And i also think that individuality in Japan is less important than the team spirit . The team is everything and they do everything for the team and not for themselves . Japan can be proud of their musical schoolprogram . I have the outmost respect . Greetings from Holland 🇳🇱🌷

@@francesconoce3056 Depending on the band, there are lots of videos of the band practice where they do show the worn-out equipment they have to use. As I understand it, there isn't a money prize so-to-speak, so the kids have to make do with what they have. Some students will bring their own instruments, which I think could explain why some kids have covers for some instruments.

Certainly high school students in Japan are busy from morning to night. But I think these high school students came to this high school because they wanted to play music. I think it's important to enjoy the music when a high school student. I think these children are really busy because there is support for 甲子園 in August. But they are enjoying it. だってそれが青春だもの。
