I am making some changes and doing some editing of plant material. There are lots of new blooms and the echinacea are truly magnificent. The liatris hedge continues to shine and the panicle hydrangeas are beginning to blooms. The bobos are so pretty! Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching.

Soleil, after watching the tour of your gorgeous gardens, I've decided that I have what can only be described as Hakonechloa Grass envy! I've killed several of them already, but I decided to try again this spring, I bought a tiny one online, and so far, it's still alive. I planted it in a planter in a shady spot, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I don't think Japanese Forrest grass likes my heavy clay soil. I'm preparing a raised bed for it now before winter arrives because I know it won't survive winter in a planter in zone 5a. I'm glad you were able to enjoy working in your lovely garden today! Have a fun week! ~Margie🦋💚🌞

Huh, mine seem to do good in both wet and dry clay soil, but maybe it also is the time of year they are planted to get roots established before winter. I hope you have better luck this time!!! 🙂🌿🌼💐

I am a newer subscriber, I have watched a few times but haven’t commented. Your gardens are beautiful and I know how much work it takes. I really enjoyed this tour. I’m glad to hear you cut the blooms off your hostas too, when spent. I love that caramel colored huchera in the back yard, I will have to look for that. I have a lot of the same plants and have seen others I want to try. We have been hot and dry here in western Iowa, it’s been a struggle. Thank you for the walk around your garden.

Your gardens are amazing! How do you ever get your cone flowers to stand up so straight? I did not see any stakes. I have never mastered the art of pruning (and it is an art) I have always been afraid to cut blooms. However, after seeing how beautifully your Hydrangeas look, I went right out and wrangled my BoBo's which were sparling all over the garden. Oh my word, I hope I did not do them in. Love your channel...informative and so relaxing.
@Suburbanoasis

Do you ever deal with Japanese beetles in the garden, especially on the rose of Sharon or hibiscus?
@Suburbanoasis
@Suburbanoasis 2 жыл бұрын
Yes although not horribly. When I see them I pick them off and crush them. They develop in lawns and the best long term treatment is applying milky spore, but can be difficult to manage if you live in a lawn dominant neighborhood. 😜🪴🌹🌿
