That's what I will most likely use it for. But the sharp point on the hook is what led me to think it was for weighing large fish or small game.

next time you stay in a motel bring that black light and turn it on, you'll see all the bodily fluids on the bed, carpet, etc.

Steve that's not a snap gauge. That's a long handle telescoping gauge
