such a different day from the frosty days we saw earlier.. nice to get that sunny break in between cloudy days... a very smug Douglas enjoying his stay in the pot by the porch, too cute.. and Russell had to rush out to see Laura, such a special bond... that pizza oven is fun!! we throw our pizza stone on the bbq pit and cook them that way, but that's a neat little oven to have... and yea to pineapple on pizza! looks like a great day with a nice ending in the Hartley.. what a beautiful space.... i love how you grasp every moment of the day - it's so inspiring!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

I love feeding the birds in my garden all year. But be aware. Bird seed grows profusely. It's an additional chore to keep it cleared out. And some larger birds will dump it all in an hour looking for the sunflower seeds.

It is so much fun… Another fun and educational activity for Benjamin and Samantha.

This got me excited! To see the sun out in one of your videos was so nice! 🌞 I did see a little white spot on one of those ric rack leaves.. I would’ve loved to have seen you make some copy cat Olive Garden bread sticks !! Ijs! 🐷 🤤 😂 I’m so curious about the “new” garden space & what you will do with it!! 🙋🏼♀️ question, can you talk about seed starting & like a schedule of what to start & when? I’m not even sure if that question makes any sense. Obviously it depends on what you want to grow and what zone you’re in and so on.. but I always feel like I’m behind the 🎱 when one of your seed starting videos comes out.. & idk, maybe you won’t be starting a bunch of seeds this year as things are changing so much around there. Anyway, just thought it might be a nice weather-is-not-cooperating for any outdoor filming type of days and it may be very useful for some of us. Just an idea. Thank you! For the joy you bring to me. 😊♥️

Hi Laura, I've been watching your videos for about 3 years now. I love watching your family and seeing how your property has evolved over the years. It's all just beautiful but I especially love the Hartley! We live in Southern Idaho so also have hard water issues. Question: Do you have a water softener in your house and if so, do you use that water to water your houseplants. I get my water from our frost-free faucets outside to water mine and am wondering if you do the same? Have a great day!

9:39 Miss Laura if you buy some neem oil name brand ❤Bliss❤ it’s the best brand I found they have an ingredient that’s removed from the others. Spread it around the base of your lilies. It’ll probably take care of those eggs in any future aphids.

I just love your family and the times you are all together. I know you put your very best foot forward for the videos, but I don't feel the inter love and bond you guys have is just for show. The stroll, working the garden, cooking your lunch together, petting the kitties, enjoying the glorious day the Lord has given speaks to me. Each day we live is always a gift. Oh and I need to add, Russell needs his own kneeling pad.

That oven is really interesting. It would be great for family get togethers as well. We’re getting some colder weather here in central Texas in the Hillcountry, possibly freezing in the early mornings. It’s finally starting to feel more like winter.

Interesting that a few need to point out that winter technically hasn’t begun. There are those that go by weather, not a calendar. Kind of like when some will say they don’t have a certain type of animal in their state! Because animals adhere to (invisible) state lines. :)

Hi Laura! 😊 My mother in law always says that I should not water plants with the water straight from a faucet but fill a can and leave it for a while. I don't do it 😄 and i see you neither. Is it better to let water sit for a while or is it just an old believe? Merry Christmas and best wishes from Lithuania 😉
@suewagoner361543 минут бұрын
I’ve been told that Letting it sit allows any chlorine or water softener added to city water to dissipate.
@jgwood1019 минут бұрын
Most plants can handle the chlorine but there are some that are sensitive to it and will develop brown edges on the leaves. Over the years I found that my spider plants and Peace lily are sensitive to it so I fill a container and let it sit opened over night. Laura has well water so they don’t have additives.

I was thinking how a rocking chair or recliner would be nice, so you could listen to music and perhaps take a short nap. Peaceful and serene. Could you sprinkle a product around the lilies to help control the aphids?

Hi Laura, I watch your videos every day with my morning coffee. You are such an inspiration! I feel like your last couple of videos have lower volume. Did you change cameras/microphones? Lastly, can you distribute Gnatrol in smaller quantities through your store? I can’t justify buying a huge bucket for my handful of houseplants. Keep up the great work and Merry Christmas to you and your whole family!

"Gummi daylilies" are actually the evergreen type. The dormant varieties die down completely and one sweep of the hand over the leaf mound and ALL the dead leaves come cleanly loose!
