I just finished The Sun Down Motel! Started yesterday, finished today! Couldn't put it down! I also picked up the The Duchess Deal right after Sarah mentioned it, read it in a day. I'm participating in Paige's readathon this week, Welcome To Camp Bookland. Staying in the Super Sleuths cabin. Enjoy the rest of your week.

I love Diane Chamberlain. I have not read The Dream Daughter, but it is on my TBR list for August. I am currently reading Before the Storm by her and the sequel, Secrets She Left Behind is on my TBR list for this month.

LOL! I bought 2 Tessa Dare books because of you, Sarah and Reagan! Haven't read them yet but I hope to get to The Duchess Deal next month. I haven't read a historical romance since I was maybe in my teens and that was MANY years ago! I have several of the books you mentioned but have yet to read any of them. Story of my life....... That last question --- same! All of them!!

Great answers. I love this tag, despite not having a channel. I write out the answers in my reading journal. I answered Tessa Dare in some fashion to several of the questions. Definitely a surprise for me. I read the romance, but (1) not as much as I used to, and (2) not historical. Those books just work for me. Yes, The Sun Down Motel is also my fave for 2020. Haven't beat it yet. My biggest disappointment was Scythe. And I'd really like to work through my BOTM books as they're piling up.

I read 'The Duchess Deal' after seeing Sarah recommend it. It was awesome! I read it in two days. The banter back and forth was hilarious! I just downloaded 'The Governess Game' from the library on e-book. Excited to get to that one.

I loved The Broken Girls by Simone St. James. I have The Sun Down Motel, but I haven’t read it yet. I’m about to go back to Sarah J. Maas. I am obsessed with her ACOTAR series (I read it for the first time this year and immediately reread it) and I read Throne of Glass, but haven’t gotten into the rest yet. Also, Regan made me start Tessa Dare as well. I loved The Governess Game even more than I did The Duchess Deal!

Love it! I need to read the next one in the Tessa Dare series. It's more romance than I normally read, but I did enjoy the first one.

Thanks Lindsey for the shout out...omgosh you need to finish Pillars of the Earth its fantastic...also if you like the gothic, ghostly type I just finished The Lost Ones by Anita Frank...so good and has a beautiful cover I have the UK edition. I am currently reading The Familiars by Stacey Halls a historical fiction about the Pendle witch trails in the 17th century England. Loving it so far. And after that I am planning to read Empire of Storms. Keep safe!

I read The Duchess Deal last year after Meredith raved about it on The Currently Reading podcast. I devoured it in 24 hours and the Beauty and the Beast vibes were so good. I haven’t picked up another of her books yet but I plan to look at my local used book store as soon as they open again and grab a couple. I am for sure a Historical Fiction, Travel, Memoir, Literary and Thriller reader over romance so it was a huge surprise for me to like Dare as well

With the Simone St. James books do you need to read them in a particular order or are they all independent of each other? I just finished Crescent City and it's now one of my all time favorites. I read Throne of Glass and now I'm onto Crown of Midnight and A Court of Thorns and Rose's. I also read Beach Read and loved it. I read romance but Tessa Dare and Tessa Dailey are both new authors to me. I picked up The wallflower Wager and I read and enjoyed Reborn Yesterday. Do u have a favorite Tessa Dare? Happy reading. 📚

Hi Nancy! You do not have to read the Simone St. James books in any particular order, they are all stand alones. I'm only on my second Tessa Dare book so it's hard to say what my favorite one is yet.

I have Sundown Motel on my TBR list-I am getting into adult thrillers so I’m still figuring out what I like in them. I’m similar in that I used to read romances (Nora Roberts for one and more historical romance authors). You might like Sarah MacLean as another author to try-she is as funny as Dare. I answered the questions on my blog since I am not a blogger if you want to take a look: www.loveliferead.com/2020/06/midyear-freak-out-book-tag.html. ~Stephanie_Happy.Librarian
