omg I read Against The Loveless world and LOVED it. It is one of the best books I’ve ever read and has forever changed me and how I exist in this world. I started the audiobook but ended up buying it and annotating it (just with tabs and a light brown hi-lighter). I hear quotes from it in my head all the time. It’s a beautiful, wonderful, heartbreaking book. I highly recommend it to everyone. And omg This Is Why They Hate Us sounds so good. I am a Mexican American so I love to see some representation. I work at a library and it turns out this one is at my branch so I’ll be picking it up really soon!

there are some incredibly beautiful quotes!! I was highlighting my copy so much too. hope you enjoy This Is Why They Hate Us! it does deal with some heavier themes which I forgot to mention but overall is a really sweet coming of age story

It's more of a sleeper hit, but it is phenomenal. Not only is it my favorite Toni Morrison, but it is my favorite novel period.
