I noticed you use the mirror layer routing. I'm not clear on why. You mentioned you can eq and add dynamics to your monitors. Is it not possible to add dynamics to the aux sends?

pacrii No if you run the board normally, just sending channels to monitors from the same channels you use for FOH you will be sending prefader. which means you will be sending the raw mic signal to monitors. Of coarse you have eq on the master output. But you dont have eq on a per channel basis to the monitors. Mirror imaging and setting the bus outs to post eq allows you to have a seperate set of channel eq's in the monitors. Just like you do in FOH so you can actually mix in the monitors. Instead of just having volumes. hope this makes sense cheers

pacrii thats the way all mixing boards are...Just look at it as you having two separate consoles to mix on .. One for monitors and One for FOH

Audio Media Production Service that is why you see national acts have 2 engineers , a monitor guy and monitor board, and a FOH guy and FOH Board
